Oh, Social Justice isn't derogatory, it's just a stupid thing that misguided people like to parade around, thinking they're changing the world by blowing the little things way out of proportion.

And it's funny that you use the goddamn women not voting and segregation deal in a debate about sexism in video games, which if you ask me, has been blown WAY out of proportion.

And did you even read that second option I said? Where you didn't have to buy it to send a message? BUT OH WAIT, I NEVER SAID THAT, SILLY ME!

And one last thing for you. Why in the blue hell should I even consider opinions I don't agree with? Should I sit there and say, "Oh wow, a woman with big boobs in a zelda game, a VIDEO GAME, means women are being oppressed! I, as a feminist of class, social standing and standard, is totally oppressed! If you don't agree, check your privilage!"

Yeah, no.

This is getting a bit out of hand. Lets return to civil discussion about the game itself and not about social/political issues.

So, speaking of things blown out of proportion.

I would say this debate is currently going there.

Chill man, have a chip, I suggest dill.

Take a look at Ghirahim. Putting aside the intentions of the designers, he's a very sexual character and isn't scared to show it, and he's male. I'm sure there were people that were uncomfortable with how he manhandled Link but that's not a problem with the character, it's just people being too immature to handle sexuality in their games.

*Ahem* Speaking of Ghirahim...

Ghirahim looks like some random antihero of a final fantasy game that never got made... I like it.

Let's steer away from this whole sexism thing start talking about something else like, I don't know, speculations or something.  The thing about Volvagia's human form was interesting and I personally think it holds a lot of water, so there'll probably be boss fight against him in the fiery area that was shown.

Eldin Volcano/Death Mountain anyone?

The intro panels (here here and here) are a nice throwback to the WW visuals.

Does anybody else think the last one looks like the mirror of twilight?  Maybe Cia is the first Twili or Gerudo (since the mirror of twilight is in the Gerudo Desert).

So guys, since it's safe to say there is going to be quite a few playable characters, who do you think is going to be playable, and what should their default weapon be?

I personally want and predict Tingle will be playable. Perhaps his weapon could be the pencil he uses to draw maps. It's definitely possible.

Lanayru from Skyward Sword?

Look familiar?

Cia is perhaps a Sheikah. After all, Hylia was protecting the Triforce, and her most faithful servants were the Sheikah... not to mention Cia's hair colour and design.

Outrageous boobs are not a new thing for the Zelda series.

I really have nothing else to say.  Hyrule Warriors looks like it may be fun, but not fun for me.  I do, however, like that Nintendo is branching out; I like the idea of having more spin-off games.  Zelda Game & Watch had no impact upon the canonical series, nor did Link's Crossbow Training, nor Tingle's Rosy Rupee Land.  We're safe, guys. :)

EDIT: Nor did Phantom Hourglass!  I know that some people enjoyed that game, but I still find it impossible to take seriously.

I don't think he'd be too useful. From what we've seen, most of the cast appears to be of age.

In all seriousness, I really like the art style of this game. The scenery is absolutely amazing.

Well, if Argorok has been shown, then it's pretty safe to say that the clawshot (or at least the hookshot in some form) will be a usable item.  I also wonder if this means they'll include City in the Sky, since that place would probably look amazing considering the screenshots the've shown so far.

That's typically how it is with a few characters in the Warriors series. There's usually quite a few characters who aren't very important, but are playable regardless.

I'd say chances are you'll be able to play as a Goron and a Zora. It's Majora's Mask all over again. :P

Years ago, long before Twilight Princess, I used to imagine a multiplayer Zelda game where the villain would take small pieces from every Zelda universe, or timeline (or game to be most what I'm getting at), and than jumble them all together into this one huge interactive Temple Land, and players would battle each other, and also find secrets to gain advantages, and every single Link, and every single item would be included in the game, and the villain would be something like Ghirahim. (yes, long before he was an idea).

I dunno why I thought that would be a good idea.
