NO ONE IS DENYING THAT IT'S CLICHE'D. NOW, I'M SORRY IF YOU WANTED ME TO BOW DOWN AND SAY "THIS SHOW'S PLOT SUCKS AND I'LL NEVER SAY A GOOD WORD ABOUT THIS SHOW'S PLOT EVER AGAIN", BUT THAT'S NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN, BECAUSE FRANKLY, I ENJOY IT. IT'S CLICHE, BUT IT'S ALSO HILARIOUS. SORRY FOR TRYING TO FOCUS ON THE POSITIVE.
Calm down there Suzie

Please excuse my ignorance of the fact that NoeL was actually only admitting that the show has its flaws and not criticizing the whole show overall. Way to read, Poke.
Now let's get back to discussing ponies NICELY...

Hasbro versus Capcom. Lawl...
Okay, so I thought this would be relevant: Bill Clinton recently made an appearance on NPR, and they quizzed him at length about My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
I could explain, but it was much more fun to say that sentence out of context. If you want to learn more, read this:

Oh, also: he totally aced the quiz. Nice.

Ha! He aced it, yeah, but the questions weren't very hard.

Yes. They weren't extremely hard, but he still had to make "educated guesses" on pretty much all of them....something which politicians are very good at, I'd wager.
I really liked what he said about the "glue factory" villain, though.

Watching the original Pony show after watching Friendship is Magic reminds me of when I watched the original Battlestar Galactica after the reimagined series: It's as fascinating to see where these ideas came from as it is painful to see them used so ineptly, but that just makes it more impressive that someone else came along and pulled something so great from it.
And, like Battlestar, there's a deep, dark, perhaps not-so-slightly masochistic part of my brain telling me to give the original show another try.
The Clinton quiz was great - obviously, he's a secret pony fan. This is what I will tell myself. And perhaps every bit as great as that is The Hub (which I find myself alternately spelling as the bug or the hug) advertising the show by parodying an R-rated movie (which I'd never heard of before the advertisement). If I saw that billboard I would flip out in the most embarrassing of ways.

Wow, that almost makes up for the disparaging stuff they said about bronies on "Wait Wait, Don't Tell Me".
I'm sending this to Seth at EquestriaDaily as we speak.

I would like to say: the following video is the most epic HUB promotional for the show yet.

I want this channel. I am sick and tired of getting these episodes off the iTunes store and missing out on all the awesome extras like this.
