Also, do you want me to leave? I mean I'm not doing one of those pathetic "If you gonna be mean I'll just leave" hissyfits. If people here feel that I'm being an obstruction on this site and want me gone, then please let me know and I'll just go.

Constructive criticism isn't always nice, and infact if everything was sugarcoated there would be no improvement whatsoever. But this is the same exact argument we had with Lynker. What you're doing is hindering that improvement by rushing to the side of those you feel "victimized" by our "attacks".

But I will say this: No I don't want anyone, especially not you, to leave. I just found it frustrating that you're fighting for something that no one else is bothering to fight. The only thing I WILL say is, let those responsible for the work fight their own battles. If there ACTUALLY IS a problem a moderator or a site staff will step in and take the action necessary to rectify the problem. The fights you were fighting were not yours to fight.

Ok then. I understand now. I think my problem is that I just really like arguing...maybe I should be a lawyer...

I'm really wondering if you guys are noticing that this type of thing got the Official Screenshot Thread closed. I think we should get back to what this thread is about, instead of discussing what my thoughts are. If you really want to talk about it, PZC has a special forum set up for this type of thing, called Conflict & Resolution, so if it's something you'd all like to discuss in an open forum discussion, let me know through a PM, and I will set one up, and give whoever wants to participate forum access to it. Thanks.

Okay, I'll get this thread back on topic with the start of a new area I'm starting on: the Cursed Woods (name subject to change). It's filled with ghosts, invisible enemies, cramped mazes, and despair. IPB Image

I really like that screen MM! icon_biggrin.gif It's got a nice dark feeling to it! Nice color scheme. I would put some random dead leaves on the ground in places though to add to the effect.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the leaves, even though I used them so much in my older forest areas. I'll get those added.

Edit: Added, but you can hardly tell under the overhead shade.

It couldn't hurt to add some color variety, instead of just having to stare at green the entire way across. If this is supposed to be some kind of "evil forest", a bright green probably isn't the best color, either.

Well, I do think it adds to the look. I guess it is a bit hard to see them under then shadow, but is there maybe a darker brown you could change the borders to? Is so, I would suggest doing that, and making the lighter part of the leaves into the color that is currently the border. I don't suggest using black as the border though, it would end up with a style clash.

Something I noticed, why are you putting underlayers (cut bushes, cut grass and so on) on a layer?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't bushes only work if they're on Layer 0? Besides, you don't paste the underlayers right onto the screen, you use the actual underlayer feature. o.O

I just used multiple undercombos so I could use the tall grass and flowers right icon_smile.gif

It looks pretty good for a clearing, but if it's not a clearing you'll want to add some trees that aren't in the brush walls.

I think that's a pretty good shot Yoshidude, but there are a couple things I wanna suggest. I think it could use a few more bushes, and flowers. Maybe add some tall grass to it, or a small tree or stump into the clearing. icon_smile.gif

Alright, I have taken your image, and made lines on it to indicate where you need to fix things up. This is one of a couple different ways you could do so. In the corner where I have the 90 degree angle, is where you need to find the 90 degree angled water, and put in the corner of the red link. Between the red and yellow lines is where you need to have the cliff/mountain at to fix this up. The mountain tiles can be tricky to use. icon_smile.gif

Just wondering: What is that part of something in the center of the screen? Is that the animated tiles of the bird flying across the screen except without covering the entire width of the screen?
