All pokemon look like pokemon, that's why they are pokemon. Every generation has looked different than the others, even if they use similar animals, they look unique. At least that's my opinion.

I disagree. There are a few—Shiftry comes to mind—that look so horrible I can't even believe that they're Pokémon.

Shiftry is awesome icon_smile.gif

Anyway, I can't wait to see what they look like.

and the one on the left is fire (it's tail looks a bit like flames).

Come on, even a 4-year-old would say that, if that were a flame, it would be badly drawn.

I think the left one looks like a Milotic with legs.

You know, you're kinda right, it looks like a pointy-headed Milotic with legs. That's probably why I thought it had too much curve and finesse to be a fire-type.

My thoughts exactly. Compare that tail-piece to Charmander's and Chimchar's flames, and you'll see that Nintendo makes their flames more realistic.

Ya, you're probably right, which means it's either water or grass. If it's water, then I'm guessing the top one is grass, and the right one is fire. If it's grass, I'm guessing the top one is fire, and the right one is water. I hope the left one's either water or fire, 'cause I'm getting that one, and I don't like grass types as much.

There's no way I'm getting these... >_> Even with the lack of their faces and distinct features, I can tell they're going to be rather over decorated rather than simple, which is what the starters should be. I was hoping the starters would save it, but I guess this is where I move on to something else. icon_confused.gif Meh, getting too old for Pokemon anyhow. At most I'll download a rom and play it for a week, but that's about it.

I dunno...you can also be too simplistic. icon_shrug.gif They just need to find that balance.

lmao!

I'm still excited for B/W. I'm buying it because I'm a die hard fan and i want to support the company that made my favorite franchise, but let's not judge them until they are fully revealed. Until then, we can critic all we want.

This is one of the reasons I gave up on Pokémon after G/S/C, when the Pokémon started getting all weird and decorated. I mean, compare a Gen I Legendary to a Gen IV. The Gen IV legendaries focus on all this detail and stuff; I don't like any of them except for Dialga. But I'll gor crazy for Mewtwo or Lugia, and they're "bland" in comparison. icon_unsettled.gif

Awesome sauce. I'm loving that grass one, which, if I get one of these games, will be the one I pick. I also like that they went back to classic hats- no more retarded berets or hat-hair thingies.
