Moo2wo:
Shoot magic towards the bubble when a fish is standing there so that the resulting flame ignites that whole apparatus.

I'm really stuck at the final boss...
Once I managed to make it jump around and shoot fireballs, but I don't know how... then it started to spawn darknuts like crazy, if I kill them, then the boss appears again, but most of the time it brings on the darknuts in less than a second. Even under such circumstances, I think I used all items on it and reflected fireballs, but nothing happens...

On a side note, let me shake your hand, Jish, you won my chocolate factory! The second part of this quest is downright easily the best quest I ever seen (played/made) so far. I think I must redefine "good" in myself. The fight scene will be framed in gold.

However, I can't find the egg at its location... It says that I can't get it because I haven't completed the bonus challenge... But I did! I even wrote down the password... but it doesn't work in any of the two files... Now WHAT...??? icon_eek.gif

Oh, and I kept doing the quiz over and over to see all questions. I'm really a fan of that part. I even bombed, pushed, stabbed, lensed everything before/during/after the quiz in hope to get the egg. icon_lol.gif

Ooh, lots of things to comment on. First of all, Moo2wo, you'll need to find two more keys in that level in order to get through "Fake Level 9". I have a post from a day or two ago that says where they all are.

All the rest of this is for CastChaos:

The last boss is kinda tricky. After fighting the darknuts, he alternates between using lightning and laughing at you. When he's laughing (and therefore not protected by the lightning) you just have to stab him. If you don't do it fast enough, he spawns the darknuts again. If you do stab him in time, then he teleports around the room and shoots fireballs, which you have to reflect back at him. After that, the same sequence repeats, but now is faster and harder. After that, he has some other phases that I won't spoil.

If it seems impossible because he warps away too fast or something like that, it's possible that there's a compatibility problem with the version you're using. If you're not using 1.92 b 183 or 184, then I can't guarantee that it will work correctly. So hopefully you're using one of those.

As for the other thing.. when you went to the site to download part 2, there was a message that says "if you beat the bonus level and got the code from that, you can insert it into the url", and then shows how to do it. I'm guessing you never did that - the bonus level code isn't a cheat for the quest itself, you just have to use it on the website to reach another hidden page. There you can download the enhanced part 2, which has a couple differences, including the egg. It seems like you found the place where you find it though.

And aside from all that I'm glad that you liked the quiz show and level 9. Not only because it's good to get praise, but because you'll have to go through them again in the enhanced version so you can get the easter egg and find the hidden secret thingy.

In that room, you have to do two different things to activate both sides of the ladder. There's one you have to push and one you have to bomb.

If you're wondering how I set that up, one of them is a standard secret combo (flag 16) activated by bombing the block, and the other one is the seldom-used "stairs" combo activated by pushing the other block, and that weird yellow staircase square thing on the second pgdn menu.

I died in the room to the right of this one and ended up in a wall, invisible. Using 1.90

Okay, I'm starting to realize I'm being annoying. This will probably be the last thing: in Level 9, there's a room with a Gohma, (after a room with Mirrorobes) but the Silver Spoon doesn't damage it. And, no offense, but that moving platform room was mean. icon_sigh.gif

Edit: Where's the Bonus Level? Please tell me.

I bet I fell in moving platform room 100 times before finally getting lucky and pulling it off.

- You need the golden spoon to damage it, which you only get in the enhanced quest. You get that from the password in the bonus level, which ties into your other question.

- You activate it from the screen on the upper left corner of the overworld. (the whole forest area with invisible paths). After that it appears on the title screen.

Thanks Jish. That really helped. Actually, you did a really nice job on the moving platform. I can't cheat across it. (stairs only activate when your standing fully on them.)

Edit: of course, trouble with the bonus level. South one screen, east one screen. What do I do here? There are 4 targets on the ground. I have no clue what to do here.

Hm, I use the one downloaded from the link in your "BA2 finished" video's description. I became active with ZC only when 2.10 got released, I don't know and underrate the differences between versions of 1.92...

Oh, me lucky oximoron. I didn't pay attention while reading the text there, I thought it was telling what I already knew. Now after beating the normal mode, I download the enhanced one. I was bound to find the place of the easter egg, I was burning/bombing/pushing/etc. everything and going in all directions. At first I went through everything straight and ended up in L9. Then I remembered you saying the egg is missed if I get to L9 so I restarted... and restarted and restarted...

Moo2wo - The bonus level goes through every item you have in the order on the subscreen. So if I'm correct in my assumptions, you already got through the boomerang, bombs, arrows, and candle rooms - that makes the next one the whistle room.

Oh, and CastChaos, I can't thank you enough for all the praise you're giving this. I already replied to your youtube PM and saw your reviews in the database and in jerome's topic. I do find it hard to believe that you think this is the best quest of all, but I can tell that you enjoyed it a lot, and the sincerity shows in your reviews. Thanks for boosting my ego icon_smile.gif

(I'm not sure if I will be making another quest after this one - I'm a bit worried that I've run out of ideas for puzzles and whatnot - but I've gotta say that the positive comments are making me lean towards wanting to do another)

It's a nice thing praising a quest and/or author but it's even nicer when the author expresses his love towards the praising. Not everybody does that, great that you do.

As for a new quest, I wanted to ask you if you are already making a Bikdip 3, but I was waiting to see if it's explained in the ending or in the bonus areas. So you weren't sure about making another quest... I think the ending easily permits a sequel without clichés. In fact, one of Zelda's sentences quite hints towards a sequel... But I don't want to speak about it here, wouldn't want to spoil anything.

But really... not making quests anymore feels strange. You know, I couldn't live without having at least one main ZC project of mine around. Many times I will slack off with a simple LoZ type quest, but a quest is a quest, no matter what.

Had lots of fun going through the unique levels of both of Bikdip's adventures. I followed the secrets (turns out I stumbled upon the last one first by accident) and got to the end of the 1st part. Unfortunately I can't seem to get early versions of ZC to work properly (I had been using a somewhat stable 2.5 beta so far), and I can't get through the Electric Boogaloo part. I did have lots of fun playing it though. Hopefully there will be a part 3 sometime.

That's too bad, I hope someone knows of a version that would work for you.

As for a Bikdip's Adventure 3, I don't have any plans for one. If I do make another quest, my next one will be a Mitch remake.

Sweet. That thing was pretty hard, wasn't it? The people I've convinced to try it always get stuck when you have to go to the zvywux page. And then there's always a problem with clicking the O for the 5th hint... I don't know why, because it works fine for me and the people doing it use the same browser.

Random fact - the easter egg hunt was originally designed for my then-girlfriend. I then converted it into an activity for this other friend I had a crush on for her half-birthday (both of these led to large Flash images I made for them), and after that, I finally changed it into what it currently is.

This quest blew me away. I don't know the limitations of 1.90, but I've heard they're pretty strict. I'd be lucky if my quest is half this good. Plans for my next quests are, if you'll let me, do an exact remake of BA1 in the NES tileset (the way you originally had it made), and then use that as an excuse to do BA2. But once again, I've uncovered everything to the game, and it's truly amazing. This truly shows what you can do on extremely limited technology. Speaking of that, how was the plot twist accomplished? I'm guessing it's by changing animations using the...thing from the cutscene with Ganon.
