Buuut. Yeah. Protip on exploring? Or anything, really? Use the scientific method. Go through every room, marking them off as you visit them. If you see something weird, try everything you have. Test every experiment! Assume nothing!

And I think I WILL try the FAQ. While I'll try to do a journal style to keep atmosphere and expound on the plot, I'll also try to keep the gameplay advice clear. This should be interesting (and won't go quickly. >.>)

Btw: how do I "activate" those violet trees i get transferred to playing the ocarina on the overworld. i just get transferred to the one in the swamp and the one south of the village but ive seen alot more and it would be great to get there for free

Find the six Triforce Dungeons. The trees usually mean they are nearby.

I'm stuck at the one eyed statue in the basement of level 1. I read an old post that said keep firing arrows at it but I'm having no luck. I must have shot it 100 times. Any hint as to what I'm doing wrong?

If you go out of its sight, its HP replenishes and you can start over. So, keep standing before it and shoot that way.

Wow, greatly appreciated!
That walkthrough put a smile on my face, I love the way you are doing it. I've never seen a walkthrough like that yet and I feel kind of proud that someone is doing such a good and clever walkthrough of Lost Isle. Awesome, the least I can do is to read through it and see if there's any errors or mistakes but so far there seems to be none.

It will definitely help many people, and if there's anything you cannot find in the game or have hard time remembering then hopefully Wolfie or this Peteo guy here can help you.

well, we could use some screenshots of those block puzzle solutions, but beyond that, it seems written well. But not so sure if Link would use words like 'DAMN' in there.

Bomb it. Either the roots or the main thing, I don't remember.

What do you mean? Drop more then one at the same time? Or bomb it once and bomb it again?
