I was reading and I saw a list of best dystopian fiction. It contained, in order, 1984, The Giver, The Hunger Games, Divergent, and Brave New World. When Brave New World and Divergent are listed side by side as best dystopian fiction, you are truly living in a dystopian world.

In real life I haven't been doing too great. I don't care about my classes and it doesn't help they're pretty darn hard. Is suicide really that bad? Seriously.

Are you sure that wasn't a list of best-selling dystopian fiction? Lol that is a truly uninspired list.

The Giver, how trite.

So I've been doing classic Westley–self-reflection, and I think I've reached a new level of understanding. While I'm very empathetic, I'm pretty certain I have little sympathy for anyone, including myself.

Personally, I seem to be empathetic and forgiving toward everyone except myself. I judge myself by way higher standards than I do anyone else, and much higher standards than is really reasonable. I want to be good at everything. I want to be infallible. I want to be a super genius. And when it turns out I'm a plain old human, I get pissed off at myself. :(

What is on my mind? Lots of things actually.

I checked the update on Smash 4 and saw Zero Suit Samus' alternative costume. I read some funny comments on it and I thought to myself, "What weird poses will I see in the new smash game?" You know ... people pause the game and adjust the camera in just the right way. I gotta say, I have a really funny picture from Brawl involving Ness and Wolf. I've been meaning to post it online for quite a while now.

In terms of my quest, level 5 is going to be quite a beast to make. In order for it to work the way I want to, I will need 16 DMaps.

My good deed for today is giving an 18 year old advise for anxiety. I always think about what I can do to make the world a better place.

What else ... I really need to stop being lazy and start a dream journal.

My chest and abs are sore from Sunday's workout. Running 5 miles at a time is becoming easy. I did 110 squats today with little trouble. I need to do more stretching and improve my flexibility. Working hard to reduce all sugar intake in my diet.

What's your time for 5 miles? I'm impressed you can run that far without getting tired.

Anikom, the Giver isn't that bad. It's definitely not some of the best dystopian fiction but it's okay. Why don't you like it?

In real life I'm Judge Gafney in Harvey.

It's nothing but speculative-hypothetical without any actual conclusion. It's a story that could've been told in a paragraph painfully racked into a pre-adolescent novel, complete with social awkwardness that nobody really wants to read about anyway.

I actually wrote a parody of the book in middle school called The Groper. Unfortunately it's lost.

I haven't really timed myself running 5 miles, but I don't run very fast. I think I run at about an 8 minute mile pace for about 40 minutes straight.
