I don't think it's procedurally generated. When I was hunting Statisticians, I'd enter an item with a bunch of them and if I didn't see a Specialist on the first floor, I'd reset the game and do it again. I got different floor layouts for the same floor of the same item every time.

Well yeah the game doesn't save floor layouts so leaving/returning will of course yield a new floor layout but it IS randomly generated and can be impossible to complete depending on how the level gets generated.

I beat Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. It took me 50 hours. Overall, this is definitely one JRPG everyone should play. The production value is WAY off the charts. The story was great with several surprises thrown at you although they rushed the ending after beating the final boss. The characters are very lovable especially Drippy. He's probably one of the best companions I ever had in an RPG. If there was one thing to complain about this game, it's the AI system. Unlike the Tales and Star Ocean games, you are not able to setup your tactics before battle. You actually have to do it in-battle which can be very annoying. To make matters worse, your allies eat up so much MP that you'll be completely depleted of it after 3 or 4 battles. Complaints aside, this is still one of the best and I proudly put this game as my #2 favorite JRPG of this console generation.

FINAL SCORE: 4.5/5

I'm taking a break from Disgaea, the game is starting to piss me the hell off!, I'm in Episode 12 in the Stellar Graveyard II.

And I'm stuck on the stage Star cluster, it seems no matter what I do I can't get rid any of the Geo stones without setting off a chain that makes the whole field invincibility which makes it impossible to finish...

Guessing I'll be here awhile until I think of way to get passed this.

Simply throw the Invincibility Geo Prism on to empty space. You can never destroy it in a chain reaction event and in most cases that means you can't destroy all the Geo Panels too so you miss out on that extra bonus. Nothing you can do about it, just throw it to a place that isn't under the influence of any Geo Panel.

Well thats the thing if there was a free space I would throw it on it... Well I can throw it on the green spaces, just got to get up there with the enemies taking to the green spaces.

I'll probably get passed this some time today, I just got pretty annoyed last night... <.<

EDIT:

Earlier today my friend found out I was playing Disgaea... and gave me his Disgaea 2!!!. :D

Guess I've become a fan of this game. :|

I still can't believe he had it!, anyways I did get passed the area where I was stuck.

And I might beat the game in the morning!, won't be long now.

Disgaea 2 wasn't as good, in my opinion. They polished the gameplay in some areas and it does feel better for the most part, but the story wasn't as good and there were a few really dumb things they did with the game. ): Still all right though.

Still on Fire Emblem Awakening, though I'm on the final chapter. (Working on a few things before I do take it on though) Donnel just friggen

wrecks this game. XD

Thats what my buddy said too. He said the game was alright but story was pretty bad.

Well I guess it doesn't really matter for me I'll play it either way and I'll see for myself. :)

Anyways I did finish Disgaea: Hour of darkness, this morning and oh boy! was seraph a pain in my ass... he wiped out almost all of my team.

At least Jason (My champion :P) and Laharl was able to survive the his attacks.

And the ending was alright for me... I got the ending where Etna becomes a queen <_<

Well anyways at least I can play through again with a super high level team! :D

If your Avatar is Male, have Donnel marry any female character who will have a female daughter and make sure Apitude is the carried over skill for Donnel. And then have your Avatar marry the daughter of Donnel also with Apitude as the carry over skill. Your Morgan will be unstoppable with this tactic.

Are you playing the PS2, PSP, or DS versions of Disgaea? You can get Pleinair as a teammate if you're playing the DS version, the rest of the hidden teammates have more difficult requirements than starting a New Game Plus.

If you've found Etna's diary, make sure you read it once every chapter. If you do that, you'll get a fairly powerful piece of equipment by the end of the game that boosts all stats a pretty good amount.

Finally, the trick to getting better endings is to not kill any of your own teammates. Since you've already beaten the game once, you should have an easier time with that, although I think the ending you got is canon.

I'm playing the PS2 version of the game, I didn't even know there was one on the DS. <_>

You know I found two switches but I never found Etna's Diary... I looked all over the place and I couldn't find anything?.

I don't know maybe I didn't look around that good but whatever.

I'll be playing it slowly while I'm playing Disgaea 2, so maybe I can try to get the better endings?.

This time I'll try not killing my people with friendly fire. XD

I have the DS version. Nearly all of the voice acting was removed, the music is a much lower-quality, and the graphics are much more pixelated. In exchange, there's a handful of extra bonus characters and an alternate storyline where Etna accidentally kills Laharl in the intro sequence and has to disguise a Prinny to look like him and try to get away with it. Playing the game in Etna Mode also upgrades enemy levels drastically so it's good for additional level grinding.

Flip the two switches you found, then go to the large square-shaped room between the throne room and the room with the shop/portals/etc. If you examine the lower floor's corner, it should say that you can feel a draft or something, if you don't have the switches pressed. If you have the room unlocked, Etna will ask for a minute's privacy and you'll go to a new area where you can read her diary. If you read the diary entry every chapter without missing any, you'll earn a Testament, which I believe was one of the pieces of equipment that the final boss was wearing. You can earn one per New Game Plus, so if you're strong enough to clear the game in about half an hour, you can earn a ton of these things between this and stealing from the final boss. Of course, if you're that strong, you can probably just steal them from Prinny Gods at Prinny Land.

Also, you can unlock new areas to play through if you pass the bills at the Dark Assembly. For example, after the chapter where you beat the Human Army, you can pass a bill to unlock levels in the Human World. Beat them all, and you'll fight an alternate final boss and unlock an ending where you forget the main plot and take over the Human World, ruling the terrified masses with an iron fist!

A lot of the add-ons found in the DS one can also be found in the PSP version, though a lot of the extra boss battles for the PSP version don't allow you to recruit them after where the DS one does.

Spoiler

I still need to do Etna mode on the PSP one so I can get the full voice acting. ._. Though you can also get to Etna mode on a clean save with a button input, though I don't remember the specifics. The enemy levels will be lower than if you had a new game+ into it, though the maps get hard really fast from what I understand. (I always did a new game+ for Etna mode)

I'm running a female avatar, so I just had her marry Donnel and made sure Aptitude carried over. Morgan is so powerful at this point. ._. Had maxed out stats as Villager really fast (surprise), then promoted. Mercenary's stats got maxed really fast, so I promoted to Hero as fast as I could. Even now, stats are maxing out quick. ._. Doing another run though since I didn't quite get maxed out across the board.

I did manage to beat it a little earlier. Working on doing the paralogue and dealing with all these teams I got via Streetpass while I was at a convention. There's a lot and a lot of them have insane teams. I hope I've got what it takes to actually beat them. ._.

I'm also playing Super Adventure Island II again. Love this game.

Just beat Dust: An Elysian Tail. Best 15 bucks I've spent in years. Go play it now.
