Episodes 1 and 2 didn't really do much for me.

Episodes 7 and 17, on the other hand, THOSE nearly killed me, they pulled so hard at my heart strings.

No episodes really pulled my heartstrings that much. Except for maybe S2E2, when Twilight reads all of her old friendship reports. (and also when Twilight uses the memory spell on Applejack) And I felt really sorry for Spike in Episode 24. There's also the bit in Episode 21 when it looks like Chief Thunderhooves has died, but it's kind of expected that he's not really dead, I would've been very surprised if he actually was. But yeah, not that many episodes actually pulled my heartstrings. I dunno, maybe I'm just an insensitive jerk with a heart of stone.

Eh? I just saw episode 7, (Where they have to kick the dragon out of the cave) and I didn't see anything to really be that ... um ... that way about. Except for maybe one or two little things. Not as impressive as the first two. If anything, episode 8 looks to be at least slightly dire. ... and that ended in a slumber party.

I find it extremely annoying that you can't actually rewind most livestreams. I found out just a couple minutes too late that the rest of Season 2 airs at 10:00 (15:00 over here) instead of 9:00 like the first 3 episodes. It's especially annoying since that means it airs at the perfect time for me. And I was about 4 minutes too late.

Just finished watching Luna Eclipsed right there (Because of my horrible timing earlier. Seriously, if I had just checked 5 minutes earlier...) and it was a good episode. Not quite as good as I was expecting, but still good. Speaking of expectations, basically all of mine were wrong.

Luna was nothing like I expected, and certainly a lot more old-fashioned than I expected. I mean, seriously, she didn't know what fun was, what the hell. That doesn't even really make sense anyway, I mean it's not as if someone invented emotions. But yeah, she was really different than I imagined, and also very different from the end of S1E2. One thing I found very odd is that everyone (except Pinkie) still seemed to think that Luna was Nightmare Moon. I mean, there was a massive celebration when Nightmare Moon was defeated and Luna was herself again, so surely everyone would've realised that she wasn't Nightmare Moon anymore? Or maybe they were just all doing what Pinkie was and being scared because it was fun. But it didn't really seem that way to me. Most of them seemed genuinely scared, especially Fluttershy.

Despite that the episode wasn't really that great, I have a feeling I will be watching it again sometime soon.

DR, I'll put it this way. If she didn't know what fun was, I highly doubt she was even around for the invention of the abacus.

The abacus was a reference to "Princess Luna vs. The Microwave" and the entire sub-division of MLP fanon it has created.

And as for the whole "fun" deale-o, here's where I get into theorizing.

Now, I have a hunch that Discord's original fall coincides quite closely with Luna's transformation into Nightmare Moon. We can say for FAIRLY certain that after defeating Discord, Celestia and Luna would have become the rulers of Equestria fairly quickly (they might have even risen to power prior to the fall of Discord). Now consider that after their rise to power, Luna's jealousy wouldn't have taken a particularly long time to set in. Now finally, go back a few steps and consider that prior to Celestia and Luna harnessing the Elements of Harmony, Discord ruled Equestria. There would have been no "fun". Fun wouldn't have been a concept, so why would you have a word for something that doesn't exist?

This leaves a very small window of time after Discord's fall for fun to become a concept and for Luna to experience it.

So yeah. That's my explanation.

Yeah, I got the reference, I read a couple chapters of that. That is a very good point about why she dosn't know of fun, though, I hadn't thought of that. And I suppose she probably hasn't done much in the time that elapsed between her becoming herself again and Nightmare Night.

I just had the strangest thought. The Princess's guards (Specifically, from episode 22, with the Princess's bird.) from MLP kinda sound like the Guards from Oblivion. Anyone else think so? Just hearing them speak reminds me of those guards.
