We went to the south of Portugal for a few days last Friday (to Cascais, close to Lisbon) and when we went to visit a cousin of mine in Assafora... bam, our car broke down. We had to wait 3 hours for the tow truck to come and then another 1 1/2 hours for the taxi to come. After that we wasted another 2-3 days in this place in Cascais called Birre without a car. We arrived back to the north yesterday and our car is still in Lisbon. If the car isn't fixed tomorrow, my dad will need to get back to England for work and will have to pick us up next week. Therefore, weekend ruined.

I've been playing A Link Between Worlds on hero mode, and I can already tell how things will go by the fact that octoroks do 2 full hearts of damage.

Heh yeah, it's a nightmare, I beat it yesterday and the final boss was NOT fun... even with the red mail.
hi portugal
But yeah, that sucks man.
Hopefully, we'll get our car soon. I kinda want to go back to England since it's kinda boring around here.

Finally got everything done. Paperwork, processing, orientation, training. Officially begin actual work Tuesday. Looking at next week though, it's gonna be killer. Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday I work long shifts (we're talking twelve hours), and the days between (Wednesday and Friday) are early shifts, from 9:45AM-6PM. At least on those days I have some time afterward to relax, but going from a long, late-closing shift directly into an early one the next day, twice in one week? I shudder. Misread the park schedule, I don't have any twelve hour shifts, worst I have are two ten hour shifts this week, then park starts closing at 8 next week. Thankfully only this week and the next two afterward the park is open on weekdays, then it's just weekend shifts. Also I have the next two Mondays off, as well as all Sundays. If I can hold out, it'll all be gravy.
Meanwhile, on a lighter note, grommets were mentioned during the orientation yesterday and today's training, and how your work belt couldn't have any grommets in them. I had trouble keeping this out of my head and restraining laughter:

I went to see Guardians of the Galaxy today. The main character calls himself "Star Lord", but I just kept thinking of this:

Well, it seems our car is coming to Vila Real (the area I'm in) on Thursday, and then will be fixed hopefully sometime next week. But my dad needs 4 days off to pick us up again, and the only available days are 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 24th August (which is far too long). I'm hoping he can shift his days to an earlier date when the car is fixed or else when the car is fixed, I'm gonna try and make sure we drive home without my dad coming to pick us up (I know the whole route from here to London, so it isn't too bad).
On a lighter note, I at least have this laptop to keep me busy.

so we do anything here, this was like the "diary thread"? is there no need to make more? I have been on plenty forums that had a "what is on your mind?" and topics to rant or rave about something. unload your bad mood and complain about a thing you don't like. a whinge thread.
a forum I was on for a product is taking down their forum, they were suggested it by their lawyers that, it is not a wise choise for their busniess.
so I'm going to miss those bad mood/good mood and what is on your mind.
even if them feel discombobulated and spamy

Today went well. It wasn't a bad day, didn't really have any problems, one customer (or "guest" I guess) was a little disgruntled but that's practically a given in the business. I was supposed to work two more hours but they let me go early due to overstaffing, which was kinda nice, though going from a four-hour shift into an eight-hour shift the next day is going to be quite the adjustment... Also money loss, but it's an early shift tomorrow, so more time to rest at home is nice. So yeah. Right now, I see this as something I won't mind doing for three weeks and then a few weekends after that, but probably won't come back for next year and use this experience to find something else nearby I think I can manage. But it's not a bad start.

i had sold $94 of painted rock, anyone who was in the chat the one day knows about that(and my desire to make and sell a fetus rock) this happend the weekend. you know this for a fact now. I should of been spending this day in making inventory, replacing the animals I sold(one Red Panda) or make the halloween inventory. I just lay tiles down today. and painted something else. it was a good day I guess.
