Yep Disgaea is an awesome game!, I'm having a blast playing.

Right now I'm trying level my team up where I can get pass the boss of episode 2.

This game will probably go on my top PS2 games list. :)

Ooh, Disgaea! :D I can safely say that it's among my favourite games of all time, if not my absolute favourite. Have fun! :)

I've been playing Touch my Katamari again, trying to get all the trophies. Also getting back into Disgaea 4. Finally beat chapter 7. That was...kinda brutal. O:

Well Just figured out the item world and I'v found out how to make my cleric learn some normal magic, and with that said I'm getting the hang of the game now!.

And just I realized the practice stage is the best area for leveling skills, getting to kick some major butt.

I'm having a blast with it. I really am, I can't believe I've passed this game up so many times in the past. I'm glad I picked it up!

Well, since you're just starting the game for the first time, here's a bit of advice to help you down the road.

Later on, you're going to learn to go somewhere called the "Item World", where you fight enemies in randomly-generated areas to power up weapons/armor/items. Always make sure the item you choose to enter has Statisticians in it to power up, and make sure you have 300 of them powered up by the end of the game. A LV 300 Statistician in you equipped weapon will get you a 300% bonus to EXP per kill, and will make the post-game leveling much more tolorable. It's just easier to accomplish during the game where you'll be going there naturally than waiting to do it all at once later on.

Thanks for the tip! Kurt I'll keep it in mind. :)

Anyways, has anyone ever though the there was way to many enemies in the area Flash Passage in Dinero palace?

I know when I first started that battle up I was like "I'm so dead" lol. But then it was nothing because my team was at level 10 and up.

Last night's stream, I was able to finish The Last Story...though I missed out on Season 3 of the Arena battles. Overall, I have to say that this game is very well rounded in story, character progression, and gameplay. It doesn't overwhelm you and it don't give you too much of a particular element in gameplay. Bosses do require strategy and the difficulty of this game is Just right to moderately easy. I beat this game in 25 hours which is approximately the same play time as games like Eternal Sonata. In response to Ventus, the final boss in this game was VERY easy. I beat him at Level 68.

I rank The Last Story as #6 of my Top 10 JRPGS of this Generation

FINAL SCORE: 4.5/5

Before I start my Pandora's Tower Stream, I wanna finish up on Ni No Kuni. I'm just about done. And I really want to get through Okami HD and hopefully get the Platinum trophy. Plus, I REALLY got into Bioshock Infinite. I love the plot so far. It's really keeping me hooked. The gameplay is pretty sweet too. Like I said before, I believe this might be Game of the Year for 2013.

I'm still playing Symphony of the Night. I'm actually taking a short break to visit the site, I think I can have the game beat and get the last two endings by tonight. It's a lot of fun, but I have one issue with it. You see, I'm a bit of a completionist when I play these kind of games, so the instant I found out that I could get a kick-ass sword by killing Shmoos, I started farming until I got one. After that, it's like the game just stopped trying. I just killed Death in four seconds by hitting the attack button about six times. (For those who haven't played, this particular sword seems to attack four times per press of the button, and each attack does full damage) The way I play, I'm naturally going to keep the best equipment I can get equipped, so between this sword and the eternally-respawning Peanuts in the inverted version of the Succubus's chamber, (I stocked about fifty of the things, and each one recovers 50 HP if you throw them up in the air, get underneath, and hit the Up button to eat it) I think I broke the game.

What's worse is, this isn't even the worst way to break it. Apparently, if I go back and hunt a particular monster after getting a fully-cleared file, I can pick up an equippable ring that will pretty much double my stats, and I can wear two of them at once, and they stack. Hopefully, Richter's version of the game will be a bit more of a challenge. I'm probably not going to go for 100% on that one and just beeline it straight for Dracula.

Oh man. The best thing ever to do, is do a "Luck" run, where you put in that special password to give you awful stats in everything but luck, start the game, take off everything but the luck-stone, get hit by that worg, fly past Death so he doesn't take your stuff, and go on a rampage. Your luck increases the drop-rate of a lot of stuff, so you can get two rings of Vardas, and two Crissaegrim. You're completely unstoppable. It's ridiculous. I've done that run, and it was the most fun you could have in SotN.

Just got back from GameStop, picked up literally the last copy of Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D they had. I know I could've just gotten the Wii version, but my 3DS library needs some love, plus it's only $5 more than a new copy of the Wii version, and it has a couple of extra features, so I think it's worth it. Gonna check that out soon, and try not to let it interfere with my OoT 3D run.

I picked up Megaman 10 again. Got to the final boss. And ya know what: I don't feel like spending hours grinding for screws to buy enough energy tanks to beat that thing. Also a boss that kills you in two hits after you just went through a boss gauntlet is a horrible idea.

Basically the game was really fun up until Block Devil, then everything after that was just too arbitrarily difficult.

@Ventus

Is that the level with Invincibility everywhere except one panel? That's the best leveling-up spot at the moment, especially if you add in the triple-experience boost from the Statisticians, the increased levels and EXP by passing all of the Stronger Enemies bills (do this gradually so you can still hurt the resulting monsters!), and the Triple EXP bill from the Dark Assembly. (grants triple experience points from the first enemy killed after passing the bill) Throw all the baddies together into one super-monster, lob it onto the one vulnerable spot, and start chipping away.

There's a similar map later on that you can do the same thing to as well. It works fairly well, but you have to do a bit of prep-work with the Geo Symbols before you can start killing stuff.

Anyways, I was playing SotN last night, and then the computer's display driver broke again and crashed the game. I lost a bit of progress, but I caught back up and I'm moving on again. I've gotten three of the four endings, and I'm just finishing up the last percentage points I need to get the fourth.

I read that you can glitch your way to various places outside of the map, and it will actually register on your map and as percentage points for the save file. Does anybody here who's played the game know if it affects the Walk Armor as well? I'm not insane enough to grind to LV 99 (I looked up the experience formulas), but ungodly defense from a glitched out Walk Armor, twin Killy-Swords (That's my name for it. It's rather fitting.), and two of those Rings should make for an epicly overpowered Alucard.

I forget if the game ever explains this to you but here is a tip regarding leveling up (May not want to do this for a first time play through as it can be abused too easily rendering the rest of the game too easy):

Spoiler

Also when entering the Item World make sure you have at least one Mr Gency in your inventory first and don't enter a Mr Gency's item world as that removes it from your inventory during the trip. The reason should be pretty self evident but it's easy to overlook and end up in an unwinnable situation.

No, the area where I'm grinding at has nothing but 100% EXP on the battle field.

Anyways I've been working on getting the Statisticians so I can gain more EXP, And I haven't tried the stronger enemies bill yet I should activate it.

And I'll be using the Triple EXP bill soon, (I just got it :P

Yeah I've found that you can throw the enemies together and make them level up. I'm about to abuse the heck out of this to power level.

And thanks for the tip on the item world, though I always bring a Mr, Gency with me some times its better to plan ahead.

Yeah the Item World layout is randomly generated (Procedurally?) and it is entirely possible to have a level layout you simply can't beat due to the way the level was generated. In that circumstance you can't do anything but die, quit the game or use a Mr Gency to escape.
