RAINBOW DASH SOUNDS WRONG

To be honest, I kind of agree. It sounds as if her VA had a sore throat while recording. The first couple times I heard it, I also thought something sounded odd with Applejack's voice but listening again, (because I will use any excuse ) it sounds normal.

Yeah, the train in the intro sort of baffles me. Do they actually intend to introduce a train in Ponyville in an upcoming episode? If not, its presence in the opening is pretty random.

I didn't see anything wrong with the train in the opening. It makes sense for there to be a train in Ponyville, after all, how else would they have gotten to Appleloosa? I suppose they could've went to, say, Canterlot and gotten a train from there, but it'd just make more sense for Ponyville to have a train.

I like to think their technology is more advanced than what we've seen on the show. I like to think there's a pony Internet. Otherwise, how could things like this be part of my personal canon?

The way I see it, pony technology is just as advanced as ours, maybe a little behind. However, everyday gadgets that we have such as personal computers and phones don't exist, due to a lack of need for them and also the lack of, well, hands. Because technology doesn't have as much of a requirement for everyday life for ponies, it doesn't play as big of a role as it does in real life, and as such is not seen on the show very often. They have kept to a more traditional, old-fashioned way of life, using letters instead of "hi-tech" means of communcation like phones and e-mail.

There is also the fact that many things that we need technology for, ponies can probably do with magic. I can't really think of any examples right now, though.
