You should probably watch the Game Grumps playthrough of Castlevania 3. It's pretty awesome and the 2 people playing are pretty hilarious to listen to. It isn't a speedrun.Just finished Super Castlevania IV. I've been wanting to go through the whole series, or as much as I can with the consoles and emulators I have on hand. Unfortunately, the physics for the NES games drove me nuts, so I just watched a speedrun of the games instead. I'm now downloading the TurboGrafx16 version of Rondo of Blood. Hope it's any good.

Okay, this is really pissing me off...
For me, who really enjoys playing a lot of older video games, emulation is really a godsend. It lets me experience all the awesome stuff I missed during my childhood without having to invest hundreds or thousands of dollars on cartridges that might not work properly anymore or game consoles that are very hard to find these days. The thing that gets me is how the games are distributed.
The PC Engine (TurboGrafx16) version of Rondo of Blood is supposedly the better version to get compared to the Super NES version. The game is supposed to be an .iso/.cue set with .mp3/.wav Redbook audio, so the music is supposed to be REALLY good. Considering it's a Castlevania game and the series has some kick-ass music, I'm really looking forward to getting to play this. There's even a full English translation of the game, where even the narrated audio was replaced with an official English version, so I can enjoy the plot and dialogue.
Here's the thing. I've downloaded three separate copies of the game, and all of them are missing the audio files. I checked the site multiple times, thinking that the audio was a separate download, but it isn't. Add that on top of the enraging issues I had been having just getting the emulator to work because all the help files are in Japanese (Ootake), and this is probably the most trouble I've been having to go through to play a freaking video game! Now, I've found a new emulator that works and I figured out how to make it play the game file, but the fact that I still don't have the audio still remains. Why on earth would anybody give out the game without the in-game music?!
I'm trying this yet again from a site where the included description even details how to make the audio play properly if you're trying to run it on the actual console instead of an emulator, so I'm hoping this one includes the music. If everything goes well, I can finally get to play the game tomorrow. (technically today, since it's 3:30 in the morning)
Sorry, bit of a rant there, but I just needed to vent. Carry on, everybody. Don't mind me...

Beat Tomb Raider for PS3.
The production value is way off the charts in this game. The presentation is top notch and rivals that of Uncharted. The combat was fun, but not really that deep IMO. The multiplayer is garbage so if you are buying this game for that, you're in for a big disappointment. Overall, Tomb Raider has an amazing single-player expereince. Just don't expect a lot from multiplayer.
FINAL SCORE: 4/5

Mainly It kept on killing my whole team with 1 good attack. <.<

Finished Rondo of Blood with Richter Belmont. Still have to go through it with Maria. Kind of sad that the game that caused me so much grief to get a hold of ended up being so short. I guess after I beat it with Maria, I'll move on to Symphony of the Night.
After Symphony of the Night comes Castlevania 64. Is there anything to make it worth playing both versions, or should I just go straight to the Legacy of Darkness version?

Ventus, how the hell are you on freakin' Chapter 36 of The Last Story while I'm only on Chapter 29? ![]()
That haunted house level was funny as hell.
Anyway, I just started Bioshock Infinite, and here's my reaction from first impressions...

I've been playing it almost nonstop since I got it Saturday, (I have a lot of free time lately sooo... yeah)
And I'll say that I loved that haunted house area as well, that was pure gold. XD

Finished Rondo of Blood with Maria. Much easier to beat bosses with her, she can launch two doves with the same range and attack power as Richter's whip, but the collision detection is different enough that two doves can easily get in six hits where the whip would only get one. Got through all the alternate levels as well, so I suppose I'm ready for the next game.
As expected, the music was beyond amazing, and Dracula's ending dialogue when paired with Maria's was pretty amusing. There's a rather lengthy pause between a couple of Dracula's lines, almost as though he's speechless at the thought that he got torn apart by a little girl of all people and can't figure out what the heck just happened to him.
Well, on to Symphony of the Night!

If you've played the original Bioshock and understand its story well, you'll probably end up disliking Infinite a lot. I won't say any spoilers, but it definitely fucks up the storyline.

No I haven't played the original Bioshock but my copy of Infinite did come with Bioshock 1 for free. Infinite has no direct relationship to the Rapture storyline?

Just finished The Last Story (This game is way to short). Anyways overall the game was very linear,
Except for the minor side quest you can do at various times which was pretty lack luster at best, and the game started up pretty confusing.
And stayed that way at least till 7 hours into the game then the story started to make sense.
And then after some (A lot of major plot points) you finish the there's not much here in the game, nothing like Xenoblade.
Pretty much it was quick fun romp through a very story driven game.
~Pros~
Decent Graphics
Pretty alright story
Fun battle system
Good music
~Cons~
Confusing start
Hard to use camera (Gets stuck a lot)
Short Game
Game has some bugs (like one where everyone of my team members got stuck during a boss battle and I had to restart my console.)
Lags a lot in random points which is pretty annoying
Being on the Wii.
Final Rating: 3 out 5
Reasons: Just mainly for the game being very very short. And some bugs, and major lag.

Did you spam Vertical Slash several times during the game? That move is so overpowered.
