Gotcha.

Also is that potentially a new Splatoon? I thought the map they were on was Urchin Underpass at first but it looks slightly different to me. The camera angle in the team intro was also noticeably different, so maybe we will be getting the Spla-two-n of myth relatively soon after launch.

They literally showed cartridges in the trailer though. :blah:

Also I'm kind of amazed at how close it was to the rumors, especially that bit about taking both halves and sharing them for multiplayer games. Not something I'd do I think but still think it's a neat concept. Also segmented d-pad, also rumored. And... was that Skyrim on a Nintendo console? I mean, I don't know how this could go wrong if that's the case. Also here you go:

Oooh, Squenix. Maybe we can get someathat FF7 remake action up in here to justify Cloud being in Smash?

Also seeing Bethesda on that list tells me there's a possibility of ES6 being on here as well, meaning I REALLY wont have any need to get an XB1/PS4.

I believe so, yes. The only previously revealed games were BotW and Mario Kart 8 I believe.

I hope you're joking. Old ass game.

This confirms Nintendo's sticking to their Wii/Wii U philosophy/vision.

It's Nintendo's way or the highway.

Where?

Cartridges are pretty much confirmed in the video. I liked discs, but at least this means better loading times and hopefully more memory! :D

But seriously I want to see more of the Mario game. I got major Sunshine vibes from those few seconds.

You mean it's a little prettier? I never heard about a remaster.

Either way Skyrim's not a game that appeals to me.

Anyway, seriously. I kind of love it? Like, since the Eurogamer leak, I've been having trouble imagining how they'd actually take that absurd hybrid concept with the small detachable side controllers and docking station and turn it into a fully realized product without it feeling weird, cumbersome, or unnecessary. And it looks like it's actually been pulled off? The hybrid concept, realized in this way, makes practical sense and feels natural. I immediately see why the design would be useful for me as a player and logical as an extension of Nintendo's history as a gaming hardware manufacturer.

That name's gonna take some getting used to though, haha

I have no problem with Cartridges. That eliminates the need to install massive game data which PlayStation and Xbox suffer from and even the Wii U to an extent. I'm a little concerned about storage. Since modern games these days range from 20GB to as high as 60GB, those who plan to store game digitally on this thing may have issues. I assume Switch will run on high speed SD cards as storage.
