Players should accommodate to the style of games, and not the games to the players, that's my vision of gaming. Why? Because players usually don't know what they want. The people that don't like the original game probably still wouldn't like this one...
Doesn't this sort of go against your own point? Shouldn't you accommodate Mr. Aonuma's changes to his game, not the other way around? Is Majora's Mask truly ruined for you because it gives you new freedoms you have the option not to use? ![]()

No, because these changes are requested by some players, and they aren't the original focus from the developers. MM was released in 2000. And I didn't say the game is ruined, but this made automatically this remake the inferior version in my mind. But I don't understand why someone should care about my words. It's perfectly fine to like the new style of MM. I still play the original edition, I don't need any remake. I like to express my thoughts also, and that will be forever... I can forgive the time change, but the save change is deal breaker for me. I need that sense of urgency.

Oh, that's great! Then only save when the moon is about to crash. And while we're on the point of complaining about new features, only travel ahead 12 hours like the original game does. Everyone needs to stop complaining about everything that doesn't need to affect them unless they WANT it to affect them.
You people are acting like they TOOK AWAY the ability to go forward in time twelve hours. THEY DIDN'T. They just changed it to every hour, which honestly makes a lot of sense. I don't fully agree with the save changing business, but you know what? Don't save until you're done playing or something. Seriously, these changes don't affect you unless you want them to.

Ah okay, that's fair. Sometimes your opinions come off a little extreme, as if a minor flaw is a game ruining one or as if everyone else's opinion is objectively wrong. That might be a language barrier problem or something, I don't know. After talking with Aevin about how we play the game very differently, I've come to the conclusion that the game is somewhat of an interactive storytelling experience depending on how the player chooses to play. For players that feel that sense of urgency, their Link is a vastly different character than that of someone like me who views the game as just that: a game. I feel like my Link is really apathetic towards the troubles of the people of Termina, maybe even a little sadistic. One more cycle really wouldn't matter to him because he has all the time in the world and only himself to care about. Much like me I imagine he'd get a little tired of waiting around, abuse the Song of Double Time, ect.

Waiting may sound like a boring thing and nothing else.
But Majora's Mask is almost entirely about waiting, and waiting is what makes it beautiful. It gives the player a real sense of place, of time. It's so much more than just standing there: it's the impatience, the tension, the brightness of the moment. The moment when the Milky Bar opens, when the aliens appear, when the thief enters the curiosity shop, when Kafei opens the door.
It truly is something valuable in terms of game design: it makes us empathize with what's happening in the game. Mechanics get meaningful, they make the characters (and the game) resonate with us because life is also like that.
More comfort doesn't mean a better experience. This time, I think, the game sacrifices strength in the name of convenience, though I think that it's a coherent design decision if you're making the game for a handheld console. Now there will be less the upset, but also the deeply engaged.

Okay, guys, this is getting out of hand. A couple things to remember here.
1. Keep your posts on topic. Discussing the game and your opinions on the game are fine, but don't call out or ridicule members. A good rule is ... if your post has no content relating to the game itself, don't post it.
2. I'd suggest making a strong effort to acknowledge and understand viewpoints on the other side of the spectrum. Not everyone will agree, but both sides of this need to step back and stop demonizing the other side. To those saying the opinions of others just make no sense, I say ... try harder.
3. The staff is keeping a close eye on this thread. If this escalates much further, there will probably be warnings involved.

Sorry, I can complain about what I want xd If you can't stand other people's opinions, it's your problem. If you think the game is fine now, I don't understand why some people are upset because some of us don't like the new changes. I don't have any reason to find workarounds to play the remake as it was intended in the original edition. Congrats to the people that enjoy these helps, not my case.
Too much drama for nothing xd

Boy, it's almost like a mod literally just made a post saying to NOT do that, Air Luigi. Everyone, knock it off.

Wow. WOW. Warnings are being issued and the topic is being locked for 24 hours since some people find it frigging IMPOSSIBLE to listen to mods.

Okay, let's please please please remain civil from now on. It's okay to disagree with each other, or even think the other person is completely off-their-rocker wrong, just act with maturity and tact when you go about doing so.
Anyway, to ease into things, enjoy this image I randomly found:

The ability to spin Twinmold is interesting. It adds more to a boss that was simply "wait till he comes out of the ground and hit him"
