Been dealing with a particularly nasty migraine today, so I'm going to go ahead and cancel the stream for tonight. Hopefully be back for tomorrow.

I was functional today, but after spending the day after the migraine staring at a computer screen, I'm going to go ahead and back out of streaming tonight as well. Stan rustling rescheduled for next week. Here's hoping all's good for DWR tomorrow.

Mostly better today but I think I'm still going to take today off as well, just because I'm a grumpypants between the headache and some other stuff going on. So Shovel Knight tomorrow will be the only stream for this week. I'm not going to cancel that, since I've been looking forward to it all week.

Alright everyone, here's the situation. I'm trying to get my sleep schedule a bit more normalized, so I'm going to be making a change to the stream schedule. Starting this Monday, streams will start at 9:30pm EST and run until about 11:30pm EST. This is going to end up much better on me in the long run and hopefully nobody will be upset by this change. Wednesdays will remain unchanged.

 

I've updated the stream schedule in the first post to compensate for this, but just to also let everyone know, I will be running through Stan on Monday/Tuesday (with Evan, hopefully), Dr. Wily's Revenge on Wednesday (again, hopefully with Evan), and Dark Souls will be this Thursday (with LinktheMaster). Hope to see everyone then!

Isle of Rebirth in about 15 minutes!

Isle of Rebirth again tonight at 9:30pm EST, and it's real talk time, people. Tonight is the last night for a dedicated IoR stream. I've devoted over 2 months to completing this game on stream and it's just time to move on to something else. I will absolutely try my hardest to beat Stan tonight, since I've seen light at the end of the tunnel, but if it doesn't happen, it'll have to wait for either a random stream or I'll record my future attempts and upload a successful run to YouTube later. For now though, please join me in the sendoff to Isle of Rebirth tonight, and thanks for watching up to this point.

Kinda glad you quit before Level 7. I'd hate to see you buy a plane ticket to Orlando FL...

 

That area where you ragequit at actually does have a somewhat good explanation to it.

 

Also the lab I mentioned was a side entrance to Level 8 which is south-west of Level 6.

To me, there is no good explanation for dismembered bodies in a Mega Man game, fan-written or not. It just has no reason to be there.

 

But hey! To that point, I'll be playing REAL Mega Man games next week!

 

Also, Dark Souls tonight, because when I planned this week I must've been completely insane.

I feel that when you make anything in a game, there's several things you need to ask:

 

1. Does this need to be here?

2. Does this enhance the experience?

3. Is this enjoyable?

 

And, well... I feel like none of those 3 questions had the appropriate answer.  I get that it may have had a story explanation for it, but it was obviously added for just a silly shock value.  It doesn't really fit in the mood too much of either Zelda or Mega Man (even the creepy areas of MM and OoT didn't just have a bunch of dismembered people with guts everywhere, it doesn't really add anything to the game, and it didn't really make the place more enjoyable.  It didn't need to be there at all.  It just reeks of someone just throwing it in just because they thought it seemed "cool."
