Wii U is my favorite next generation console.

Edit: I'm glad Nintendo decided to stay out of the hate pit and not making fun of the Xbox One.

:odd: As far as I know, Sony only made the one jab at Microsoft with that video about sharing games, and that was far from hating on it.

I would say the way they presented their policies on used games and system-wide DRM during their conference Monday night was pretty much taking potshots at Microsoft's policy. A side not to that, anyone else notice that Sony's CEO is basically a huge troll? Pretty hilarious.

I personally think that Sony's "trolling" is a very effective marketing strategy to show Xbox ONE's major restrictions to gaming and media. I think it's about time a company like Sony exposes to the mass media how highly restrictive the Xbox brand is. If the Xbox ONE sells poorly, imagine Activision and DICE dropping timed exclusive content for CoD and Battlefield on the Xbox side and switching to Sony.

I'm not targeting solely on Sony for being the cause of the hate lol. All I'm seeing is the gaming community beating up a dead horse. But I do get the fact that Microsoft only seem to care for the money and not their fans.

Also, I rather enjoy the fact that Sony is giving out a much-hyped launch title with PS+ when you buy a PS4. That's pretty nuts, and something that isn't very common anymore.

Sony is doing well. PS4, Final Fantasy XV being a Sony exclusive (It's been a long anticipated game), a successful E3 conference... I think Sony wins this time around.

Nope. Sony didn't lock up any of Square's franchises as exclusives this time. Probably because they figured they didn't need to with all the ammunition they already had against Microsoft. Source

This sums up the whole ordeal.  Sony just abused the competiton.

I agree. Sony's Trolling is one of the best methods to show that the XBone is super restrictive, while they show off that the ps4 does the stuff the XBone can't do, like sharing games, playing offline, etc.

By the end of the day, the big question for Microsoft is if they learned from last generation the importance of exclusive games? Sure MS showed some promising exclusives at their E3 conference, but how long will that last for years to come? From what we know, MS can show plenty of exclusives today, but show no exclusives at all tomorrow. As the Xbox ONE ages, PC games are going to evolve in performance and graphics. So if MS pulls the whole "we want people to choose Xbox ONE over PC to play multiplats" scheme again, then that's where Xbox ONE will fail because people who already have a nice gaming rig will not need an Xbox ONE to play multiplatform games when the PC version outperforms it in every possible way.

The reason why Nintendo and PlayStation are different because unlike MS who breaks out loads of cash to gain exclusive titles, Nintendo and Sony have way more studios supporting them to develop their own exclusive games. Nintendo has Retro studios, Monolith, Gamefreak, HAL Laboratory, Intelligent Systems and Sony has Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch, Media Molecule, Quantic Dream, Japan Studio, and Santa Monica studios. What does MS have other than Rare, Lionhead, and 343?

I don't think just the exclusives can save them though.  What they really need to do is rethink the whole CrossBone system all together.  It's pretty darn clear that no one wants a required constant (or 24/hour updated) internet connection, and much more their system of handling sued games.

EDIT

The first and third link don't work, probably because of more damage control on Microsoft's part. But from what I learned from the second... Microsoft, please. Haven't you dug your grave deep enough already. Now you're just handing us shovels to fill it in for you.
