Those are mere walkthrough walls, the reward is very tiny (a few rupees). This is a small reward for people wanting to explore this dungeon thorougly.

Assuming you have the hammer, there are many places with things you can pound with it.

If you don't have the hammer... you can get it very near level 8.

where can you find more magic? i need more so i can beat the boss of the mermaid cave, but i can not seem to find anymore than i have which is only 1 jar, maybe 2
