To the top-notch challenge quest players playing LoH... Please send me an email if you want to talk about LoH - its in the author field of my quest if you wish to discuss it. I won't be coming back to PureZC for a while until I finish Insanity's End - there's nothing to be gained here. When I come back, I'll make one public post to advertise that I've finished it and welcome other challenge quest players email me to get the quest and that'll be it.
I've answered my critics. See my rebuttal of Moosh's criticism in his not so random reviews thread. I have nothing more to say.

I suppose this is moot assuming you hold to your promise and stay away from the site till you're done with your next quest. That said, good luck on your next quest.

KA, it really doesn't matter if I pull my quest off or leave it on at this point. Its been downloaded too many times and it won't make one iota of difference. So I guess keep it on. I tried to get the staff to put a warning label on it, but they refused. If there's more conflict, I'll tell them "I told you so".
And I hope you understand exactly why.
I'm going to level with you, James24: I have never played one of your quests, and I probably never will. I don't play quests for the difficulty of them or to rub it in the face of an abrasive questmaker, like, say, myself. I play them for the same kind of adventure I'd get out of A Link to the past, or Link's Awakening. This is also what I go for when I actually make quests, too. I make quests for the fun of it, not for a nonexistant art panel. :/ That said, I really have nothing relevant to the topic at the top of the page worth saying here, but I hope you will listen to me regardless.
What I'm about to say is not a flame or a troll, it's just the straight facts: you are not going to find anyone for your discussions or download, and if you do they won't last long. Pretty soon you're going to be sitting around waiting for people to show up that just won't come (and don't expect to find what you're looking for at AGN.) If I were to tell you why this is, I would be pushing the boundaries of the rules that keep this board together further than I comfortable with, so I hope you can figure out the reason by yourself before someone a lot less nice than I am rants a wall of text against you in this thread and states it bluntly.
...or, just as bad, continues laughing about it without actually trying to help you understand in clear terms.

If you knew it was irrelevant, then why did you write this post...?
This is what the breadcrumb trail at the top of the page says right now:
Your point about James24 not finding anyone who wants to discuss the quest is, like, wrong. Factually. This thread has eleven pages and 154 replies. I'm not the biggest fan of the quest either, but you can't deny it has an audience, and that audience would probably like to discuss the quest itself without random arguments popping up.
Any continued discussion about the quest that doesn't involve either requests for help or discussion about specific elements of the quest (eg. dungeon and overworld design, the room layouts, the enemy layouts) will be considered off-topic. That applies to your most recent post in this thread, King Aquamentus. Please don't do it again. If you have something like this you'd like to say to James24 specifically, perhaps take it to PM.

Loved it overall! I have the whole quest recorded on video and plan on uploading the whole quest on youtube. I only show the parts where I'm successful. Hope you enjoy watching my videos.

Seriously, that is incredible! Congratulations! Wow! You realize you are only the second player to ever beat it? My amazement knows no bounds!
Honestly, I have no idea how anybody could ever choke down this quest. But you just did!

Thanks a lot Strike! Just remember I did die a lot in this game, but none of that will show on the videos. Here is the video link to the second dungeon. Enjoy!

Maybe I can finally finish Level 6 haha. Never figured out how to beat the Bat Wizzrobes with just the mirror shield.
Love For Fire, to pass the room with the bat wizzrobes with just the mirror shield you will need to first walk in the secret room to the left, fill up on life, walk out, and stand still facing right (you should be at the left center of the screen). When you see the first wizzrobe die (you can tell by seeing a rupee on the ground), walk back into the secret room and refill on life again. Repeat.

Oh, there is one thing I did for a second playthrough, I "zero gamed" this, with just the gold ring
I just beat this quest without cheating!

Do you use fraps or something to record? I'm not a "let's play" person necessarily, but I'd loved to have made a compilation of my top 10 hardest/"easiest (that's it?!)" moments in the game. I'll have more time next week hopefully to watch all of your videos, I like how the editing seems like you pulled off a flawless TAS for an NES game

I did it with just the magic key and in less than 5 minutes.
I didn't even have to beat a level! I don't think I had to kill anybody either (or that I could).
I think I got the money from level 1, then the magic key from the cheat shop, and then headed to the end. I may have had to get a ring... but I don't recall. Fire is hot.
EDIT:
Nope... no ring. Fire still hot.
