Well I got some horrid news and some mediocre (and possibly disappointing) news for the 3DS version:

That's right. Dimps has decided to be bastards and give Classic Sonic a homing attack in the 3DS version. Not only is that a non-Classic Sonic move, it'll probably break the game, at least in the earlier levels. I'm upset about this, and then there's the announcement that Radical Highway will be the 3DS level featured from Sonic Adventure 2. ... why that one? It's basically Shadow's version of Speed Highway, and there are better levels in SA2 to use (Metal Harbor! D: ... or Green Forest or Final Rush). Plus, it was a Shadow level, so it sorta doesn't make sense.

Either way, I'm starting to wonder if I should hold off on the 3DS version and get it when the price drops or something, cuz so far, I'm not impressed.

So it's not much of an update, but apparently Sega tried to get Jaleel White (the guy who voiced Sonic in the old cartoons) to play Classic Sonic, but they couldn't get him to do it. Damn. I would have killed to have him play that role. But oh well, now we just get silent Classic Sonic.

All stages revealed now, as well as Perfect Chaos. I'm so glad we only have less than a month now till this game is released. And wow. The Colors level actually looks good. WHAT IS THIS SORCERY?!

Release date for the 360/PS3 versions is November 1st. So less than a month. I need to go preorder it quick so I can still get the DLC and stuff. Anyways, if anyone's interested, here's a full playthrough of Classic Sky Sanctuary. Shows a small smidgen of the hub world at the beginning too along with its music. And if the full game's designed like this, then I feel pretty satisfied already. Damn it, where's November at...

EDIT: 3DS version is November 11th. And apparently it will use a level from Rush and Rush Adventure. Welp. That settles it. It didn't look good before, and excluding Game Gear and Advanced stages makes it worse. So I'll just wait till Christmas for it instead.

I've noticed this. Perhaps they jumped the gun on the PC announcement. I'm not certain myself. If they have or not, well, that sucks, I suppose. But it wouldn't be the only recent Sonic game not on a PC.

I've noticed this. Perhaps they jumped the gun on the PC announcement. I'm not certain myself. If they have or not, well, that sucks, I suppose. But it wouldn't be the only recent Sonic game not on a PC.

Yeah, I'm thinking that either, they decided against the PC version but leaks of it still got out, they're just waiting 'til the games nearly out to officially reveal the PC version, or the PC version will be released at a later date. I'm hoping for the second, but I kinda doubt it.

Well, I've just been informed of some delightful news: Sonic Generations has been confirmed for Steam. Yup, SEGA confirmed it today, the PC version is real. I can't remember the-guy-who-told-me-it's source but a quick Google search refutes the need for one. The-guy-who-told-me-it also said that, judging by the Steam registry, all buyers of Sonic Generations will get Sonic 1 for free, and pre-orderers will get all Sonic games currently on Steam. (Which, from memory, is Sonic 1 to Sonic Adventure. I'm not sure about Sonic and Knuckles, you can buy Sonic 3 And Knuckles on Steam, but IIRC, it's actually just Sonic 3, but I might be wrong.) I am very delighted at this news, especially since it means I won't have to plug in my PS3 again.

Whoa. All of those bosses looked absolutely epic. And I mean genuinely epic, not just ludicrously-overused epic. Judging from the small glimpse of the Shadow fight at 0:42, it's going to be a much different fight. I also find it kind of odd that Perfect Choas is fought as normal Sonic, as opposed to Super Sonic. I mean, it makes sense from a design point of view, there's no reason to let the player play as Super Sonic for a normal boss, but I guess it's just me getting bugged by contuinity errors again.
