C'mon, guys. I know how unoriginal a lot of the Pokémon have become, but I don't think -- or at least, I hope, anyway -- Nintendo would have two Fire-type lizards as starters across generations. The closest any two starters have been to looking like each other would be the Bulbasaur and Turtwig familes -- both four-legged reptiles and have plants on their backs (except for Turtwig) -- and that's still not that similar.

If you ask me, I would bet that the left one would be some kind of fish-like creature. The tail kinda reminds me of Vaporeon's, for instance.
well the one on the right has a beaver like tail short ears like a beaver and little arms like a beaver but i guess we cannot tell until they are revealed

The tail looks a little thinner than a beaver's. Besides, I still don't see how the left one could be anything but water. The head doesn't look like anything plant-related and it doesn't look agressive enough to be a fire-type.

Yes, but i do not see that the one on the right could be anything else but a beaver icon_shrug.gif

Other than a ball-headed cat, I don't see what it could look like either. But I also can't see the left one not beaing water. Nor, for that matter, can I see the middle one being fire. Not that that matters.

EDIT:Wait...what if it's not the usual Fire-Grass-Water triangle? What if it's something else, like Water-Ground-Electric or Fire-Steel-Rock? If it's not F-G-W, I'm betting it's W-G-E. If it's W-G-E, I'm guessing <=W, ^=E and >=G. Top looks like it could be an electric rabbit or something and Right could be a beaver made of mud, sand or stone. Why? Because I ran out of ideas of what it could be. icon_razz.gif

Shortened in many places because I just can't be bothered typing it out.

List o' things it could be:
  • W-G-E
  • F-S-R
  • Grass-Rock-Flying
  • Pyschic-Fighting-Dark
  • Dragon-Dragon-Dragon icon_blah.gif

The reason they wouldn't be Fighting-Psychic-Dark is because the Fighting one would beat five types and the Dark one would completely resist the Psychic one. icon_shrug.gif

And the middle one seems like fire to me because the other two look like the grass and water ones. Those two things on its head seem more like ears. That thing on the left one's tail couldn't be a flame...it's too separated and pointed to be a flame...which makes me think it's three leaves.

Not to mention making it grass-fire-water from left to right just makes sense...

Good point. But to be honest, I forgot to see if using 2 against 1 was not very effective, 2 and 1 being the first and second types. Although, I sort of agree with you on the ears thing for the top one. They look to me like they could be ears or leaves. And the more and more I think of it, the more I can imagine the top being water. I still can't imagine the left one being grass though, the head doesn't look plant-related. I agree about the tail looking like leaves though.

You know, the top one's ears look kind of like a twig with leaves, like Turtwig's branch. Maybe that one's grass. That would mean the one on the right is probably water (looks kind of like a fat beaver), and the one on the left is fire (it's tail looks a bit like flames).

Nah, the tail doesn't look like fire. While I'm sure they're very unoriginal and suck at new ideas and therefore would copy Charmander, it looks more like leaves to me. Or maybe like a lily-pad...

You know, frankly, I don't care if they did just copy Charmander. Charmander was awesome, and if this one looks anything like him, I'll be excited.

I don't think it looks anything like flames. You would know if it was. Just look at Charmander's tail flame and Chimchar's... erm... butt flame. They're actually flame-like in appearance, not all smooth-lined and such. That's why I think it looks more like a fish tail...

Well, when the silhouttes are unveiled, we shall then see. But the one on the left definitely looks the coolest of the 3.

I like how unique they look. They are really changing this new generation up. I don't fear or dislike change so long as they look nice icon_smile.gif

Are you kidding!? They don't look unique, they just look like variations of existing Pokémon, lol.

I think the left one looks like a Milotic with legs. First picture I saw of it, I didn't see the legs, so I thought it was a water pokemon.
