Look at the size of his train. It's not too terribly large compared to the animals. Think about what happens when a car hits a deer.

Good point. Link needs to invest in a cow plow. icon_razz.gif

In all seriousness, there was a video of Link fighting a Ghoma that appeared to try and ram him. The enemies might run up and hit Link from the side or something. Plus, it's a small train. It would take some damage running over something.

I really, REALLY hate to gravedig this badly, but since this is the official spirit tracks thread I thought it would be good to point out that Nintendo announced recently that Spirit Tracks will be out December 7, 2009.

YAY! We'll get it in time for Christmas! Remember how Migo said that Nintendo was reserving a spot at the Game store for something around Christmas time? I'm positive this is it now.

...dang, December 7th is really going to BE Happy Day </inside joke involving a pep rally>

Anyway...awesome sauce, pretty much. I'll hopefully pick it up.

I think the reason I didn't dislike Phantom Hourglass as much as I should have was because I couldn't let myself dislike a game I pre-ordered. Thusly, I'll pre-order Spirit Tracks so I don't dislike it.

The only thing I can say is hope they improve big time over Phantom Hourglass. PH is right now the Worst Zelda Game I've played.

Phantom Hourglass was actually quite enjoyable. I played it about halfway on my brother's DS and I quite liked the new puzzles and concept. Though the puzzles certainly weren't as good as OoT's or LttP's puzzles, they were very easy. But still quite inventive.
I guess they do the same with Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts as with Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks: They try to invent something new, but which completely destroys the original thing that people loved so much.

Stylus-control was awesome but the way the game was presented regarding their dungeons killed it for me. Please let there be no dungeon that is like the Temple of the Ocean King. Other than that, the side quests were pretty fun but not as of quality like the GBA Zelda Games.

I honestly have 0 hope for this game being good, honestly. I found PH to be somewhat fun, yes, but EVERYTHING WAS TOO DANG SMALL! I hated that! And by small, I don't JUST mean how long everything is. I mean the room sizes, too. I mean, come on, you're almost as tall as the walls! That's just wrong. Everything's WAY too small in PH, and since Spirit Tracks looks similar to PH, I have no hope for it until they show that the world and dungeons will be large and amazing, instead of small, roomy, and bland. Like PH. :/

I have never been dreading a Zelda game this much in my entire life. How sad.

I don't know if you noticed in the trailer, but by the look of it, everything is going to be loads bigger.

...Great. Another game to look forward to. icon_razz.gif XD j/k

Seriously, I think this might be a good game. I didn't have any huge problems with Phantom Hourglass. Only that stupid temple of the sea king, really. Other than that, it was good, IMO.

What's so bad about the Temple of the Ocean King? I loved it.

I rather enjoyed the temple of the Ocean King. I enjoyed going for maximum speed some times and all phantom kills other times.

I hated the temple of the ocean king. I hated the backtracking and the timer, and most of all I hated how dull the graphics and music were down there.
