I'm up to "Welcome to the Jungle" on expert. Only tried the song once so far, so we'll see how it goes.

Bah, I got up to Cult of Personality on Medium 5-star run before my hands decided to die for the night.

As for the not getting-5-stars-on-every-song run, I'm on the 7th tier (Tokyo) on hard. icon_frown.gif

Sweet NoeL, are you going to tap it? or play it regularly?

What do you mean "tap it"? You kinda HAVE to "tap it" to play it. It goes R, G, Y, G, B, G, etc... every second note is green, which means you have to hold green and press-release every other note.

I think there is an option on the contoller to make it where you can just press the buttons to hit the notes, without strumming that bar thingy.

You mean hammer-ons/pull-offs? icon_eek.gif Well the whole intro is hammer-ons so if you can move your fingers fast enough you can play the whole intro only strumming once at the start... I can't do that at full speed though.

I think real guitars are better than Guitar Hero.

Seen it and played it at my friend's place... Not good enough and boring.

My opinion though.

Have you tried one of the quitar battles? Those are so awesome.

Of course real guitars are better than guitar hero, but that doesn't mean Guitar Hero isn't fun. icon_smile.gif

And I don't like Battle Mode, it's kinda broken. :shrugs:

NoeL, tapping is when you strum once, and then put both hands on the neck of the guitar and just play the notes. It obviously only works for HOPO (Hammer on, pull off) notes.

There's no way you could do that, because if you miss one note, you'd need to go down and strum again and that little amount of time could fail you.

How can you not like battle mode? That's my favorite part of the game.

Because if you're on Expert and you get a "Whammy" during an even remotely tough part, you lose.

Which is why I don't play on expert. I can't even play on medium, because I have this problem with my hands, and I can't move my pinky finger without moving my ring finger, which means if I play a blue note, I also accidentally play a yellow note.

Ah. icon_smile.gif Anyway, Expert is really the only fun way for me, I don't like things trying to get me to fail, though.

Which is why I don't tap it. I can hit the notes easier just moving my hand, but sometimes I don't release them quick enough and drop a note. So, "normal" playing for me, with my 3 spare fingers working the last 4 buttons.

Yeah. I'd just strum up and down as fast as I can and hope for the best. icon_smile.gif

Search for "beberle2" on youtube, check his TTFAF video. It shows him tapping the intro (and completely owning the song).
