Check town. As stated before, the 3 skeleton people in the house will provide hints on what you'll need and where you need to go. Also, after getting prepared for the 2nd dungeon, explore the overworld. You'll want to upgrade something and get more HCPs. You'll need at least 6 heart containers if you want to live in the 2nd level.

Yes, in town. There's three houses in town that house skeleton guys in them, and after every major boss and level, the strings these little guys say change.

Well, what you said is true for Lv1, 2 and 4. But for the rest of the levels... nah.

I'm having a little trouble figuring out what to do in the beginning of the quest.

But still, this quest is everything it was expected to be. Amazing. An instant hit. And I think that sums it up right there.

So, I've found the map, and 1 key in that pillar maze. And I have no idea where to go next. I'm assuming the raft is close, because there seems to be a lot of places to explore via raft. Right now I'm just exploring the overworld for more heart pieces.

A second key can be found by going down the vines in the lower left of the first floor with the water drained. And then slashing the vines you just climbed down. That seems to be a overly missed key.
Level 3 is the major exception to the '2' key rule of other dungeons, it has a grand total of 11 keys!
Level 5 imo, is inconsequential in its amount of keys (which is 5) since the set up of the dungeon (both parts) is so straight-forward, it doesn't matter. (this will make more sense for those who finally play level 5)

Is that big swirly thing in the lava flows the portal to level 2? Or is level 2 somewhere else? Because I can't move the rock that blocks the path to it..

You need the Gauntlet and Ocarina. The Gauntlet is very close to level 2. The Ocarina is in the Tahao Forest which is up north.

Also, I just got the key from the planet mini boss in level 2. Don't know what to do.

I'm kinda stuck in level one.

I've been circling the same rooms for hours trying to bomb every wall. I'm seriously lost

I got the compass, and I pressed two buttons which lower some blocks. I got past the room where the two traps bounce vertically from the lower wall to under the upper wall.

Where do I go next?

Just got the Level 1 boss key, what do I do with it? I looked everythere

Deathbringer, lower the blue blocks, then from the entrance, go left, hop over, go right, find hidden path under catwalk. (its fairly simple)

Master of Power, just south of that trap room is the crystal water level switch, you need to bomb up from the south to reach it.

Grey0X, warp back to the landing warp room on floor 1 when the water is filled up again.
Now raft your way through the maze up to the northwestern end of the large water-filled room. You can push OFF of the floating wooden planks.

OK, I have both keys... but still no idea where to go I'm obviously missing something, because I'm running in circles (again)
