mmm...!
you need to change the sword, you have six hearts already
so go get, the white sword
from beginning screen, go left one time , down and hit the left tree with your sword or boomerang
it will open the cave for the sword
,
for better guide, take a look ,,, HERE

Ok it is time for a bump as I am stuck. I read through the entire thread so if I missed it i apologize. Where is level 8? Please give me exact directions from the closest level. So far I have been thru the first 7 and beaten the first 7 dungeons.

Items I have are 20 bombs, 1 superbomb, bow and arrow, magical boomerrang, red candle, whistle, bait/food/chicken, hookshot, lens of truth, ladder, raft, mirror shield, power bracelet/power glove, magical book, biggest money bag, blue ring, and amulet.

I need help to whatever kind soul can give me exact directions from any dungeon. I have ran into statues that I can not reach with my sword. Also I have 11 and 3/4 heart containers and the white sword. I know where to go get the magical sword but I can't yet cause I do not have 12 hearts. I have searched from the raft dock near the beginning of the game and everywhere since level 7. I have used the mirror shield to open up some stairs on a screen that will be useful when I come to said screen from the other end.

To get to Level 8, you need to burn a bush on a long, vertical pass inhabited by Blue Octoroks. (This screen is very close to the snowy area, and the best way to burn the bush is with the Wand since it's on the edge of the screen.) Go down the ladder that appears, work your way around to a part of the snow level that has a bombable wall. When you bomb it, it turns normal and a ladder appears. Go back around and go down the ladder. Burn the bush on the way, then go back around and go through the cave that appears. Head through and you're at the summit. Go north, kill the Manhandla2, continue on, and inside the Gohma statue lies Level 8. I recommend bringing at least 100 Rupees in with you-- you'll need at least half of them, and that's if you don't die at all on those parts.

It was asked before.

I tried this strategy and could never reach said bombable wall.

Should I search for level 8 from somewhere near level 7 or going thru the cave near the beginning of the gave using the raft?

I still havent found level 8. When you say work your away around a bombable part is this part obvious. What directions should i take to reach said area?'

I figured it out. There is area with blue spiders one screen left of level 7 that I must walkthrough a visible wall. I could have sworn I tried this earlier. That is what through me off so much. I am now at level 8.

Ok Something really bad happened. I got stuck in molka 9-2. Literally. I got to the final room to get the hammer then all of a sudden I hit the triforce warp. Then when I explored the dungeon to go to rooms i did not previously go to when I restarted the game it will not let me go anywhere. I can not see link on the screen. What is going on?

Which screen did you warp to? It sounds like the dreaded continue bug.

Yeah that is what happened. From now on I will always back up my progress with more than 1 save state. I am stuck on 9-2 in the dungeon's final room at the top left. I only know this by using the lens of truth but even then i can not see myself just the circluar area that appears. I restarted molka on a new game and am at level 7 but at least I know where to go this time around. Took me about 6 hours going thru levels 1-7 knowing where to go.

Ok I am at almost level 10. Great level but extremely hard. I am stuck at a point where I have to beat 3 mirror wizzrobes then i have to go left. I then beat the dinosaurs who I must use the bombs on then I go to a room where I can not walk across. If I try to walk I fall down. I tried shooting silver arrow, I tried using the hookshot with no success . Nothing is working. What do I do here?

I just realized that the room with the 3 mirror wizzrobes has a staircase when I use the lens of truth but i can not get said staircase activated. what in the world do i do to proceed in this dungeon. So far I do have the map and the compass.

It's an invisible path - you have to use trial-and-error in order to reach the other side...

I finally got past the room with the invisible path and what seemed like 30 rooms later I finished the dungeon. Quite a game for sure. I will rate it 5 stars. Very tough and fun quest. The most annoying thing for me was finding level 8. It took me forever and I found the false path by luck when a blue spider hit me lol.

It is a great game but Almost 10 made me want to take a sledgehammer to my computer. There was a room with some windrobes where I kept getting sent back again, and again, and again. It's still one of my favorite custom quests though.

Yeah same thing happened to me as there was not much room with a lot of blocks. Eventually i got thru it. I was glad they did not reappear when I went back for a fairy. I knew it was some type of trick too and sure enough while the fairy was there I had to redo the whole sequence agian lol. I really did enjoy this quest a lot. I would rate it above link's decision since this quest was actually finished. In link's decision you go to the 2nd floor and both ways are dead ends. Also both james quest 1 and james quest 2 was fun. Can you recommend another quest that uses regular nintendo graphics like zelda on the old Nintendo entertainment system? I prefer playing those quests over the ones that look super nintendoish.

Dan Furst's "The 12 Palaces" and Pineconn's "End of Time," available at the AGN database, are both very, very good. There's also lots of good classic quests at PureZC. Technicolor World and Crossrealm Chaos are a couple more solid ones. Apologies to any I'm leaving out. Those were the first that came into my mind.

Lands of Serentiy is excellent, but, like Link's Decision, I couldn't finish it. Turnabout also uses lots of classic tiles and is very fun.
