I finished a full weaponless and armorless run of Castlevania Aria of Sorrow. I kinda cheated a bit. I gave myself the Chaos Ring, but it was the only item I had equipped through-out the game, not even casual clothes or the pocket knife(except at the very beginning.)

Up until Clock Tower, it was a challenge, then I acquired the Lightning Doll soul and it just got easy. To top it off, right before defeating Graham, I got Red Minotaur's soul.

Oh, after that, I expected to have a VERY difficult time with Chaos's first form, because you don't have any souls to use at that fight, but I was wrong.

I went to get my Red Minotaur soul back, as that was very important if I was going to finish off Chaos the way I was doing. I had nothing but my fist to attack. I nearly died a few times during the first part of the fight, but I managed to get the soul back, and the rest was a piece of cake. I was level 39 at the final boss.

I honestly didn't think I could have done it without the Chaos Ring, but all the money I earned, I could have spent of Mind-ups... LOTS of Mind-ups, and still would have won.

I should at least do the Battle with Chaos without anything but the Chaos Ring again and stick it on youtube

UPDATE

Just a bit of an update, but now I'm attempting equipmentless and soulless(save grey souls, Flying Armor, Undine, Skula, Giant Bat, and Black Panther(so I could get to Chaos quick, but only for speed))

I'm stuck at the Manticore boss, I only do 6 damage to it, and it has 440 HP, 74 punches before I can kill it, So I got to level grind, If I can do 10 damage(probably 4 more levels, and I'm already level 10) I think I could kill it. But, DANG, I'm so tempted to just whack it with my hammer.

Super Metroid: 47% Items collected. Considering that most of the 100% score accounts for Missiles and Super Missiles, I do consider this something cool.

Finally got around to beating Metroid Prime 2. I managed to beat Dark Samus with literally less than 9 seconds on the clock (I couldn't use Sonic Boom on her, as I used all my Light Ammo spamming Annihilator Beam shots at Emperor Ing's third form). And I got 100% scans as well, which is kind of nice. Didn't get 100% items, as I really couldn't be bothered to go through each region just to look for the seven I missed.

Here's a big achievement. In Pokemon Pearl, I completed the National Pokedex. Well, I have partial entries for all of them, so the game says it's complete, which is good enough for me. Wow, I probably spent 75% of the total time I spent on that game just trying to complete that thing.

So you have Darkrai, Arceus and Shaymin, too?

I beat the final boss in FFIII DS with Lv. 50 characters. Thank god for the Devout...

Yep. Although I admit, I used my friend's action replay to activate the events. Do you honestly expect me to go to Japan to unlock them?

I beat Ultima VI: The False Prophet some days ago. I almost ran out of ingredients and karma, but I finally did it.

I decided to get into F-Zero GX again for the first time since my memory card was killed by the Wii. Naturally, I had to start from the beginning and unlock everything step-by-step, a process that took months the first time through.

Long story short, I was able to retain my skill quickly: I cleared all of story mode on very hard difficulty within one night. I can't begin to contemplate how many hours I had wasted there my first time through the game. I was pretty proud of that. icon_heh.gif

Also, I recently beat Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest on hard mode, 102%. It wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be since finishing a bonus game gives you both Kongs back, but it was still an important achievement to symbolize my incredible love for that game.

I beat the original Metroid game, an accomplishment for me. And if that's not enough, I beat it in under three hours. And I had one missile left when I destroyed the Mother Brain. Wow, that's one hard game.

Ridley was easy. The arena is shaped like this:

CODE
------------------------------_____________________________________

Samus and Ridley were positioned like this:
R
- S____

I just kept shooting. He got hit constantly and couldn't attack at all.

Kraid on the other hand, wow. The trick is to get memorize his pattern. Then, get into the morph ball. When he walks backwards, plant a bomb. When he goes forward, he'll step on the bomb, and it will explode. You'll take heavy damage though. I had nine HP left. Thank goodness for the Varia suit.

And if you think they're hard, just wait until you get to Mother Brain...

I found Mother Brain to be only slightly harder than Ridley. If you've got at least three or four energy tanks, beating her is just a matter of having the peace of mind to freeze the O Rays and focus on getting clean shots with missiles.

Kraid, I just totally spammed bombs. If you have the Ice Beam, you can freeze Ridley's fireballs and because of sprite limits on-screen, he can't fire any more. Alternatively, you could get the Wave Beam + Varia Suit and stand in the lava beneath him, pumping him until death.
