I got the Zone of the Enders HD Collection for PS3 cheap for $15. I've never played these two games before It sure has that Gundam feel to it (naked chicks included). So far, the gameplay is pretty solid while the story is typical anime-cliches. People keep telling me the sequel is far superior to the first ZotE and the first ZotE doesn't take long to beat.

I've also been playing a lot of Soul Sacrifice and Soul Hackers on the Vita and 3DS respectively. Soul Sacrifice is more addicting than I thought it would be. It kinda reminds me of Monster Hunter meets Darksiders and Code of Princess. Soul Hackers is something I really need to get used to. The translating in this game aside from the voice dialogue is rather poor.

GIVE ME YUR SOUL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wait till you see Hyper Hexagonest... Makes all the other modes, all of them, look like nothing.

I dread even seeing Hyper Hexagonest... Hell I can't even make it 10 seconds on the normal version of Hexagonest.
Did manage to get Hyper Hexagon mode unlocked. :P Just one more to go and I'll have'em all unlocked. ;)

Been playing "Mega Man: The Wily Wars" using an emulator on my Wii. Works pretty well with the controller set up like an NES controller, with the "B" button on the back set to open the weapon menu. I admit, I've been using save states, but only because I wasn't sure if the in-game saves would work (this game's save system supposedly doesn't work on most emulators for some reason). I've been restraining myself on that point and only saving in places where I'd respawn upon death, not spamming save states before every difficult jump.

Even so, I've found myself not actually needing them all that much. I somehow managed to beat the Yellow Devil on my second or third try without needing the save point I made. The only boss battle I "abused" them on was the fight against the Mega Man copy in the first game, but that was only so that I wouldn't restart with all my ammo missing from my weapons when I died. I set the save point where the boss's HP meter was filling.

Right now, I'm at "Mega Man 2", and I've beaten Metal Man (first) and Bubble Man (second). I'm guessing the order I should go after this is Heat Man and then Wood Man, but what comes next? Flash Man? I think it would be wood beating electricity/whatever Flash Man represents. I know Flash Man beats Quick Man, kind of. Considering my first Mega Man game was "Mega Man and Bass", and that one didn't have Energy Tanks, I'm finding this one rather easy. I only had to use an E-Tank on the Metal Man fight, but only because I had him down to 1 hit left and only had 1 hit myself, and I didn't want to have to re-do it again.

Wood Man against Air Man; justification is "leaves jam the fan" or something. Then Air Man against Crash Man, Crash Man against Flash Man, and Flash Man against Quick Man. Alternatively, Flash Man's weak to Metal Blades. Like nearly everything.

Well, don't forget to rage at Quickman's stage. I know because I played that brutal stage and felt the full wraith of those 'beams'.
(btw, I discovered that Crashman's weapon is effective against Quickman. 4 hits and he's dead, though you may want to save those for (spoiler) when you encounter him a second time).

The Wii I use for that game is the family console, and I didn't get to play it at all today, so I haven't gotten to see any of the level layouts that I haven't already gone through. Isn't there a decent grinding spot in Quick Man's stage? I know that the Flash Stopper will make the death beams much easier to navigate, and health/ammo grinding was the only thing that got me through the Cut Man and Elec Man rematches in MM1.

Anyways, I guess I'll go after Flash Man next with my Metal Blades, then take down Wood Man, then Air Man. At the very least, these bosses make more sense then some of the later games.

Well, I'm not going to get to play it tonight, so I might as well get back to finishing up LQftH2. I don't know why, but I just stopped playing that one for a while, right after finishing Level 7. (Easy version, but I watched Eppy go through the Hard one. That song is catchy as hell, I actually went looking for it and put it on my MP3 player.)

Finally have gotten all the none Hyper stages done in Super hexagon *sighs* that was quite hard. <.<

Anyways in other gaming news I've started up Skyward sword just for a fun run, just working on the 3rd dungeon... Is it me or is the Past parts of this dungeon the best parts?.

Well, I made it through Quick Man's stage fairly painlessly. I ended up with more lives than I started with, and an Energy Tank, and I only had to use Flash Man's Time Stopper at the last stretch in order to do it. Unfortunately, that meant I didn't have it for the fight with Quick Man himself, and I forgot that tip about using Crash Man's weapon, so I lost all my lives during the fight. I'll give it a try again tomorrow. (Technically later today. It's 12:42 AM where I'm at.)

^ old joke is old.

Well, I'm still doing my Zelda Chronicling, but I managed to get my SNES and ALttP set up and working, so I'm tackling that game the way it was meant to be played. And this is quite a glorious feeling. Almost like time travel. And I wish I could do this for every game in the series. Well... not for Zelda 2. And I wouldn't be able to find people for Four Swords, so Anniversary Edition it is. But that's what we have emulators for... And for OoT as well, but I think I'll be doing the 3D version of that since it'll give me an excuse to play that version again and avoid the boot irritation. It's the same game through and through anyway, just prettier, and I'm playing these games to chronicle how the game itself affected the series and how it holds up, not how it looks graphically.

Quick Man is a bit of an asshole, so that's why I save the Time Stopper for him. Usually takes about half his health, making the fight go a bit more smoothly.

Really? I've never heard it. Maybe I should get out more.

Also, it wasn't really a joke. I don't play much video games now-a-days. I just play the seemingly never ending game of Life, which isn't all that great. 6/10.

Playing Professor Layton: The Last Specter for the first time. It's the first ever Professor Layton game I've played and so far at around puzzle 48 I'm enjoying it so far. That London bonus game they included looks very awful >.>
