So um, how do I get past the death floor in level 1? Do I need to be really fast or somthing?

Look carfully at the ground. Some floor tiles are round and look somewhat like switches. Make sure you do not step on them.

That's fine. As soon as he said round buttons, I figured it out. Instant death just tends to make me panic. Right now I am at the Sky Garden and I found where the big chest is, but I just need to find the key. So far this quest is awesome. You know, I am a big fan of keys(and lock blocks), but I like how you used minimal keys, and only for the big items. I can see that your inspiration is in fact Illusion of Gaia, and maybe others too. In IOG the emphasis was certainly on exploration rather than tedious item collection. The first 2 levels that I've been to are really well done. Also, I've heard some say the music is pretty depressing. If you ask me, it fits very well into the game. There is aboslutely nothing about this island that's happy and cheerful. It's like a murder mystery almost. Certainly that sense of ruin, danger, and even desperation really works well here.

Well, Lost Isle and especially the mood of the quest really divides opinions. Some people simply don't like a dark and gloomy feeling and that's fine, but I'm glad to see that the quest is being liked by so many people despite it being a "depressing" game. I personally love darker and more serious kind of games, so it was only natural for me being the co-developer of this quest. icon_smile.gif

The second key of the Sky garden is in the southwest corner of DARK side. There are multiple ways of getting there, but if you cannot get there then I can provide you with step by step instructions...

Right now I'm on level 3. Gotta pick up the boomerang first though. I suffered a big setback when I got the second sword, bait, and anothee HC, but tried to do the dream area without saving, or a shield. That, and using too many potions, made me quit, but I forgot to save first so I lost my progress. Fortunatly, the set back turned out to be a good thing, as my second time though I also got the scroll, shield, and I didn't use any potions. Now I just need the arrows to buy the Hero's Bow.

playing through Lost Isle a second time after beating it, is actually a LOT easier and a LOT funner. Its harder and a bit more frustrating the first time through when you don't know what to do, where to go, or what's going on. Lost Isle is truly a quest that really does get better with repeated playthroughs.

It seems that way. Then again, the Oracle series on the GBC also become more fun to play with repeated playthoughs.

So anyway, right now I'm on level 3. Still no sign of the dungeon treasure, I've found about 5 keys so far(I think), and I have the compass. I am missing the map though, and I hope it's not in the basement.

The Treasure is on the top floor. You need to go to the Ammunition Room and burn the place down to proceed.

I believe it is on the second floor, there is a switch that needs to be pressed to reveal the chest containing the map.

So, you found it or not? icon_razz.gif

A key many people seem to miss is outside of the Castle, on the castle's balcony. You can get there by exiting the level at the southern part of floor 2.
