On another note, getting sick of ZC lagging. It doesn't matter if I shut everything down but it, have it in full screen mode or what, it loves running at 45-50 FPS. Makes testing my quest hard when the FPS is jumping all over the place. What's weird is the lag only seems to be when working on my quest. I don't have any scripts, but I notice ZC takes up more resources running my quest than say one that's more Z1 like. It's not like I'm trying to run this on a Windows 95 with 8 MB of RAM on it either.
Try leaving (if you use) Google Chrome open in the background like on the default search page. Sometimes having it open helps here. Leaving it open with a video that's not playing seems to help sometimes as well (Youtube, Twitch, etc.)
Other browsers may work instead of Chrome too, but I'm not really sure. ZC runs better with something like that open still unless it's IoR Level 10.
Anyhow, I decided to basically redo all my main dungeons pushing everything else even farther back unfortunately. But I gotta admit Level 1 is looking pretty decent and I'm using Interior maps this time instead of NES Dungeon maps. I will miss Secrets + Bombable wall in the same room and NES Shutters, but Interior probably makes most sense to use now.
Now if only i had a midi that would fit this place better than the placeholder one...

Completed my Level 3, and I'm now moving on to the next area of my quest, which is gonna be somewhat very interesting to make.

I got the passive sub-screen done. A few sprites made, most present in the sub-screen. No mini-map yet until this (and other) overworld areas are finalized.

I started on Dedric wars. A recreation of my first quest.

I have done about 4 screens. It looks atm, like LA XD
Instead of featuring a Over-sized overworld. I will be changing that to just a normal Overworld ![]()

It looks nothing like LA from the looks of those pictures you sent me. But it does look like a GBC Zelda game. ![]()

Drew tiles for level 6's enemies and added a few enemies meant to be similar to the Chuchus from Majora's Mask. Basically, they're fairly uncommon enemies that when slain, they ALWAYS drop a specific item. They will be added in the overworld so I'm not spamming the same enemies over and over again. Also, they're going to balance the quest out a bit better I think. Speaking of which, the hidden Silver Armor room will be replaced with a level 2 Cane of Byrna and you will buy the Silver Armor somewhere. Also, when I get around to it, I'm replacing Link's annoying shout with something more tolerable; the Master Sword swing noise for swords and Tempered Sword swing noise for the axes.

I finished a big underwater area for my next quest. In the first quest, the underwater area was almost an exact mirror of the ocean above. I took great pains to make the shore line up with the mountains below.
With this one, the shore area is much more complex than in my first quest, so I had to take a few liberties with the underwater mountains to make everything look natural and not feel funny when you're running around down there. I know it's the right choice, but ... GRRRRRR! I wish I could have it all! Anyway, I'm pretty satisfied with it, and I'll refine it later and decorate it n' stuff. ![]()

More AQII testing, mostly the new enemies. Okay, a couple things I learned the hard way:
-NEVER give a Digdogger Kid any decent homing factor. It makes them annoying as it's basically just damage assurance.
-Bait is horribly broken on one new enemy I made
A few other changes, mostly for the sake of balance:
-The L2 and L3 Canes have been adjusted to do 2 and 3 damage respectively, up from 1 and 2 damage. They don't use magic, much like the cheaper cane. However, generally by the time you get them, their damage isn't really good enough to make them useful. That and half the time I'm finding the cane actually gets me hurt MORE because of enemies not getting knocked back and their mercy invincibility conveniently running out while on top of Link >_>
-A few enemies have had HP adjusted. Also, I'm considering swapping the L2 Bits with the L1 Bots, nerfing Bots down to a more manageable level for around 4 hearts and Wooden Sword while making the L2 Bits more in line with someone with about 6 hearts and White Sword.
-World numbers are going to be removed. For example, instead of "W2: Shine Fields", it will now simply be "Shine Fields". That way, World 5 can simply be renamed to Forest of Serenity, the name I wanted originally. Serene Forest sounds really lame to be honest. So yeah, getting spiders, Moblins and all kinds of crap moved in.
-Freeform Dungeons rule unchecked, which fixed the issues I had with Link "walking on the walls" when going through a wall. I just have to change all of the combos I made Overhead back to No Flying Enemies combos.
Also on a non-ZC note, third day on the job and my feet are holding out MUCH better and I'm really liking my job a lot.

But when that goes hypernova, what happens to the quest?
Anyway, my desert in my quest is coming along fine. Also introducing a couple new enemies as well as the usual Leevers. Should be getting to start Level 4 soon.
