Hey Russadwan, though you do pose an interesting question, there is an explanation for the graveyard. The people of the island may not have known at the time what was responsible for the deaths of all of their countrymen and just attributed it to unfortunate circumstance or it could have been the bodies of the people who were tempted by the promises of the evil of the island and were slain attempting to eradicate the people who chose not to side with evil; the bodies of their fallen were then buried in the lands near their village. Later they probably discovered the truth about the evil hidden within the island which then wiped everybody out when the people of the island no longer served it's purposes, which would include even those who served it faithfully. That would be easily and greatly explained by the inscription in the canyon, "Evil makes no distinction among those who serve it." As a result, there was then no one left to bury those people who died, and that's assuming they actually died and were not transformed into one of the many creatures who now inhabit the island. The king and queen of the castle to the north were likely among the first killed if the graves exist since time would be needed to construct them, or they could be the tombs of people of significance in the village such as village elders. The king to my recollection is not buried in the castle anywhere; the stone with the Royal Melody inscribed upon it did not seem to be a grave site though I could be mistaken. In any event, since DFW concocted the plot for this quest, she would likely be able to definitively answer this question for you.....

that mostly sounds good Magenta, but the king was one of the last few killed, since he ordered to have the fairy statues build as a warning to outsiders about the dangers of the island. But most of that sounds about right.

Sonlen- Did you find the power rod yet? I got stuck trying to find it the first time. You have to go under the bridge on the dark side of the sanctum to find it. Make sure you have the one key from beating the plant first before trying to get the power rod though. Good Luck!!! icon_wink.gif

I did find after what seemd like forever, but I was messing around with my computer and when I closed it the program crashed(all my fault). icon_cry.gif

I gathered that you are asking how much time is left for this quest to be available for download, Master Of Pigs? Actually, this quest is part of the Pure ZC database and will theoretically be available to download for as long as Pure ZC wants to host it and doesn't have server issues and DFW and Peteo want it to remain available for download (I don't see why they wouldn't!) I finally started playing this again after a little hiatus and a replay through since I accidently deleted my original save file where I had gotten to the wastelands. I have since gotten through Plague Fortress, which was a little too technologically motivated in my opinion and felt more like it belonged in a Final Fantasy game than in Zelda, though the dungeon itself and it's overall appearance were quite unique and original but I still like the Sky Garden better as a dungeon. I got into the Oderra Catacombs hidden in the graveyard and I have to say that was one of the most macabre dungeons I have ever played through so far and it too felt more like it belonged in Doom or a survival horror genre than in Zelda because of the way the dungeon was done but it was definitely different. The Death Skull itself (Bonehead was his real name in Equinox where he came from, lmao!) was actually fairly easy for me to take down, but the fact that I found the Shield Of Ages before tackling the catacombs might have tipped the odds more in my favor, combined with the fact that the skull's attack sequence is actually very similar to what he uses in Equinox, including even the summoning of enemies before going dormant for a period of time. I actually found the Deathbos (That's what they were called right?) to be more of a pain in the ass than anything else due to their ability to instantly kill you and all it took sometimes was a cheap shot from another enemy with no attack power to knock you into one of them which then killed you (Quite infuriating!) I now have pretty much everything except the Red Mail which I know has to be retrieved out of that impossible Master Dome when I get around to trying to fight my way through that catastrophe, and a couple of heart fragments. One is hidden in the wastelands up on a ledge I cannot figure out how to access since that plant ladder on the screen adjacent to it does not seem to respond to anything I've done so far, and the one up on Mount Horgrus which I know I need the Ice Arrow I believe it is in order to acquire it and to get into that cave down near the beach. I am currently in the volcano dungeon trying to tackle that so I can get the Ice Arrow and whatever else is inside for more exploration of the island but that could take a while. My opinion of this quest is still that of being quite impressed despite some of the areas not quite fitting in with a typical Zelda quest (Even the Shadow Temple was not quite as macabre as the Oderra Catacombs I don't think) but nonetheless it is still quite enjoyable and challenging to the end. Good work with this.....

Ya, it was fun. My favorite was probably Horgus Temple. I love the black and white flashback rooms where you fo through parts of the other levels again. Plus it was the only one I beat without any help.

Well, Horgrus Temple is pretty straightforward... but cool nonetheless, so I can see why it is someone's favorite. icon_smile.gif

The dungeon I'm most proud of is the Plague Fortress. Many people ask how the heck was I able to fit so much stuff into one average sized dungeon. But my favorite level is definitely the Sky Garden because it is such a beautiful and atmospheric place IMO.

Anyhoo, I find it a bit funny that someone has issues with levels that don't fit a Zelda game, but in my opinion one of the things that makes LI so good is that it is such a versatile quest and offers something more than your basic Forest and Fire temples. icon_wink.gif That's why I think adding a doom-like level and a technology level were a good idea (just try to guess which one was my idea and which one was Wolfie's).
Captain Magneta, that one HCP on the Wastelands... you need to play your Ocarina near the dried up pond to get to the HCP. Oh and the Red Mail is not in the dreadful Master Dome, it is in the Oderra Hideout...

Well, for the plague fortress and Oderra catacombs, I basically said to Petoe: "I release my reins, you are free to do whatever you wish as long as it conforms to these basic concepts: blah blah blah, etc." So he was super excited to be doing those two levels, because other than a few key things, he had complete control over what to do with them. And it clearly shows! XD
But its funny, the level I had the MOST input in and gave Petoe the worst time with 'supervising' him with, was level 2. Its where more of my ideas went into it and he pulled them off. So level 2 was a mix of both our ideas more than any other level.

all you have to do is re-arrange some warps in the Sky Fortress and the quest will be perfect lol and/or offer a little easier version of the quest with maybe the ultimate items left out. (red armor, golden arrow, level 3 boomerang, master sword)

like after the plant monster in the Sky Fortress, you could make the warp NEXT to the chest containing the key instead of on the screen BEFORE getting the key >.> and...

the warp where you bomb a pillar to get a key... make it appear in a place your less likely to walk onto >.< (this pissed me off the most icon_razz.gif)

Thanks for the information about the heart fragment in the wastelands; I seem to remember trying the Ocarina there but it's likely I wasn't standing in the right spot. I'm not knocking the fact that the Oderra Catacombs or the Plague Fortress didn't fit in with a typical Zelda game; those were just observations and opinions that I had about them but that doesn't detract from the fact that they were still enjoyable to play through and very well done as far as dungeons go. Something that is different can sometimes shake things up but it can also grow on you. That was kind of the effect that Wind Waker had for me in a sense. It was only after playing the game that you understood why Miyamoto chose to go that direction with the game and it grew on you despite first impressions. Interesting to know that the Red Mail is not in the Master Dome though since that means that it can be acquired beforehand and will make attempting the Master Dome a little more feasible for me at least. I guess I'm going to have to hunt down this Oderra Hideout then when I get around to that as well. I didn't see anything in the Sky Garden that really bugged me all that much, and the fact that I played through the inspiration for this level in the Illusion Of Gaia also helped as well as my ability to think three dimensionally with some ease which is needed for dungeons like these that have multiple areas which are affected by a single action.....

masterofpigs, there's another key on the same floor (B1). It is in the middle of the big pool in the middle of the level. Then you need to go downstairs to B2 and lower the water on that floor. Then go to the northern parts of that floor to find a crystal and activate the crystal. When the crustal is activated, you can return to Floor 1 (F1) to open the big red chest. icon_smile.gif
