Yeah you need to watch them in order from Episode 1 of season 1 to episode 2 of season
To get a fill for this show You'll get and see the Personaltys of each pony Grow and grow
Though out the First season

Yeah, I recommend watching them in order of airdate. There's a bit more continuity then you'd expect, plus the season just as a nice flow to it when watching it in order.

The order in which they aired was not chronological order, but rather the order in which they would make the most sense, because season 1 was mostly just to explain how their world works and set up the story for season 2.

Here are the episodes, in order, which will get you to the point where you are unable to stop watching.

1-2. Friendship is Magic (2-part) - Nightmare Moon attacks, mane 6 gather the elements of harmony and all that kickassery.
3. The Ticket Master - Twilight gets some free tix to some shiz but she doesn't have enough tix to take all her friends, trouble ensues.
4. Applebuck Season - Applejack need's help but won't admit it. Trouble ensues.
5. Griffon the Brush-Off - Rainbow Dash's old friend from flight school, Gilda, visits Dash in Ponyville. Turns out to be an asshole, Fluttersob ensues.
6. Boast Busters - GAP Trixie is best pony, end of story.
7. Dragonshy - I take that back, Fluttermad is the best pony.

I've just made up a prologue story for This its somthing

My explanation of the story makes it sound better then having Luna Get so Jealous
she goes and Turns evil

But instead My thoughts of the story in my mind is
That a evil Spirit took control Of Poor Luna
and Changed her Appearance To suit the evil spirit "Nightmare moon"
To her liking

And The evil Being done this to try and rule the world with Luna's power
of the moon
And to make it eternal Darkness Where Nightmare moon's power would be stronger
And then with this power!. She would use it it to Destroy the planet

But then celestia With her being the only one to be able to use the Elements
of harmony
She used the power of the Elements To lock away Nightmare moon. well in the moon Of course

But alas there was a draw back to this
She never thought locking up Nightmare moon would also
Lock up Nightmare moon's Host. as-well

After Celestia realizes what happened She has a emotional break down
And she realizes.That nothing else could've be done at all
Except Wait for another chance In a 1000 years to Get her little sister back

And after that...She notices she has no alblity to hold the Elements
of harmony no more

So she starts to looks for other wielders
And one day she notices a filly by the name of Twilight. she has great Magic ability

So it seems ...
And then she takes her under her wing

After that she starts to train "Twhight in the art of magic"

And then so many years later
Starts episode 1

Hey guys. I've been giving thought On Why i Like Luna so much...
And i come to a conclusion...She reminds me of my sister that i haven't seen in about 13 years....

I know that sounds crazy. But Its like to me that I'm celestia And i haven't Seen my sister in so long...
Well its my own thoughts Though in a figure of speech

And maybe one more thing that makes me like her..
I feel so bad for her. She has been locked in the moon for 1000 years so theres that

So may i ask Does anybody
Feel that same way about This shows Characters??

Or am i the only one that has grown a Very strong Emotional Attachment To this show?

I feel similar about Twilight, but for a different reason. Just, every time I hear someone bash Twilight, and they point out her Asperger-ish traits, I always jump in and clear my throat rather deliberately. Everything Twilight does is stuff I feel like I do on a regular basis.

Same with Fluttershy. I've been there, with the lack of confidence leading to not wanting to interact. Yeah, I can relate EXTREMELY well to that.

But yeah, I feel like I can relate to both Twilight and Fluttershy extremely well, and it pains me to hear either of them take complaints. It hurts on a personal level.
