Today's electronic music is too srs. What happened to stuff like Sensuous Woman Goes Disco and Sesame's Treet? I blame the meth, which mixed with the E, obviously caused horrific horror hallucinations that inspired the rufige.

I looked up the lyrics to a dubstep song today and these were the results:

Truly the voice of a generation.

Don't trust lyrics on the internet. They're usually wrong. The most annoying thing is when every site you visit has the same incorrect lyrics.

last Monday at the office where I'm the tech support; the secretary of the office asked me if I could clean her personal laptop (I didn't quote her a price for it) and I spent most of the night cleaning and getting rid of some malware. and then I take it back to her yesterday and tell her its clean and ready to go. And she takes and says nothing at all, didn't offer to pay me at all.

That kinda upset me, it seems like I'm not good enough for even for a "Thank you" from her. Totally first and last time I do anything for her.

I'm putting this incident behind me now, I just wanted to post about :P

I agree.  However, they are also on average getting more spoiled and feeling entitled to more things than previous generations, without really earning or deserving such things a lot of the time (I'm looking mainly at you Generation Y).  Too many are growing up being told that they are special, when in reality, nobody really should be told they are special, nor the anti of special.  Gotta prepare for the real world, understanding that one is not on a higher playing field than the majority (unless you were born rich and grew up rich), or else it will just leave people disappointed and feeling hopeless when things don't work out the way they expect it to, especially for those who struggle to find a job in their chosen career.

WARNING: Super long post ahead.

That last sentence sums me up perfectly. I went to college, put in my 4 years, graduated Cum Laude, and what am I doing now after 10 months of painful job hunting? Pushing carts for minimum wage. Trying to get a job in my field is next to impossible, and I'm sure other fields are just as competitive. My older brother is an animal doctor and even he is hard pressed to secure employment with his qualifications. Before, any schmuck that just boozed his way through college and managed to barely maintain a 2.0 GPA could get a job handed to him out of college. Now, unless you know someone, had a 3.8+ GPA and are good at buttering people up, your promised $25,000/year starting position is nothing but an unrealistic dream. Add in a raunchy economy and the fact more and more people are going to college, and you find out how much it sucks. Worse yet, those that are not smart enough or cannot afford to go to college are at a huge disadvantage. Not that putting yourself $50,000 in debt helps much...

About the entitlement, I see it all too much. And it's not just the people in my generation (I'm 24 for the record); it's even older people that feel they're owed everything. We are fed lies of do X and Y will happen when in reality it's do X and if you bust your butt off, MAYBE you'll get lucky and Y will happen. Too many people have the "Gimmegimmegimme!" mentality. Everyone wants to take, but nobody wants to give. My cousin doomed her kids from the moment she gave birth to them. The female was pretty much spoiled and given everything where the male was pretty much left to run the streets and got to become popular with the cops (not in a good way either!).

My cousin's other problem is that she tried to be her daughter's best friend instead of her mother. She always tried to hang out with her friends, only to ruin her friendships because of how lewd her mother acted. Now you have a spoiled 23 year old that can't stand her mother at all and pretty much just to spite her mother ended up in a similar situation to her; having a baby to a deadbeat man. I don't see my 3rd cousin having a good life.

Now as for the male 2nd cousin, he ended up a loser that has been in and out of prison for a while now. He was always neglected and made to raise himself, so he would torment his older sister and mother in order to get what he wanted, often money. By 15, he got banned from a public pool I volunteered at back during the Summer of 2005 for misconduct. By the time he was 16, he was permanently in cyber school and rarely did his work for that. I know he was incarcerated at least once or twice, but now at the age of 21, with no high school diploma or even a GED, he's stuck working at a hotel JUST for a place to live. That's right; he hit such a low he has to literally work just for shelter.

Anyway, I went off topic a bit too much. But my point stands. Entitlement is the downfall of young people. It's also why there is such a high crime rate. I noticed people while driving are even worse. You cut someone off or do something they don't agree with, guess what? Have fun dealing with an enraged person attempting to run you off the road or fly up at you. As a whole, I think people are also very angry these days. When I was a kid, anger didn't seem so widespread. Now, everyone seems to be perpetually pissed off about everything. It's awful when you have adults acting 10x as bad as the children they're ranting about. It's even worse when you have a 5 year old dropping F-bombs like mad. That's totally uncalled for.

Even in my teen years, kids seemed to get worse and worse. I remember when I was 13, I went to a summer camp for kids with behavior problems and some of the kids there were TERRIBLE. There were about 25-30 kids total, 6 counselors and one man that led the counselors. We were divided 50-50 so it was about 15 kids per 3 adults. As soon as a fight, argument or any outburst broke out, hell broke loose. In the worst case scenario, we had a boy throwing rocks at the van we took to Pinchot Park. It took TWO grown men to restrain him. He was in a very primal state of kicking, flailing and even trying to bite them. The scariest thing? He was only 9 years old and he was acting like a caged animal.

It's scary to see a 9 year old go into a rage to the point two men were having a hard time restraining him. That and the flood of language coming from him was frightening (at the time, I HATED curse words). I don't get how such a young boy could have so much hatred within him that he would try to attack two grown men trying to deescalate a situation, call them the F word, child molesters and a bunch of other things that are too foul for this board. Then you had this 15 year old named Emily. Everything would bother her and once she got set off, RUN! I remember one day she got out in dodgeball and she laid on the floor crying and screaming like a banshee. It often took at least THREE counselors and a good hour to get Emily calmed down, only for the slightest thing to set her off again and begin the cycle anew.

DISCLAIMER: Any usage of generalizing terms such as "everyone" and "no one" really mean "a lot of people" and "few people" respectively.

I strongly disagree. I call this the 'Renaissance Fallacy', or the idea that art, talent, and intelligence improves over time. In reality, technology and historical shifts allow for new ideas to be developed, yet humans of old were as smart as they are now, and certainly more in tune with the natural world.

Evidence for this idea includes the Chauvet cave paintings and a more neutral analysis of the Middle Ages.

I think something is wrong with my right foot. I occasionally feel a pain around the base of my arch and heel when I step forward. I don't know if I hurt it at work, but it's really annoying as I can hardly walk right now. I'm hoping by Saturday I'm okay, because if not, it's going to be a long and very painful 7 hours.

Don't feel bad I've had something like that happen for no reason at all, It went away on its own. I'm guessing it was strained and had a pinched nerve.

I'd say get some Epsom Salt and mix it with some warm water and rest your foot in it. (It does help).

Well, it seems at my current job they are hiring another tech support guy for some reason... I have a feeling I'm going to be replaced or something.

I'm hopping thats not the case. But you never know messed up shit happens all the time. :|

Well, I don't have that, so I used Bengay on my foot and part of my leg that hurts as well. I'll just try to stay off my feet as much as I can tomorrow and with any luck, I should be primed for work on Saturday. I recently read that eating a tablespoon of mustard is supposed to help with pain as well. I should try that, seeing I really love that stuff.

EDIT: Getting worse now. I have leg pain now as well. Time to go to sleep...
