Looked at my quest and found a tool that told me how many of every item I placed in my quest so far. I'm starting to feel that I'm being a bit too generous with Pieces of Heart. I mean before entering level 4, the absolute maximum heart count is 9. By the time you beat level 5 and have all the Pieces of Heart, you have a whopping 14 (before entering level 6). That means 12 more throughout the rest of the game and 3 more Heart Containers. Anyone think I should relax the number of hearts or keep it how it is? I mean pretty much by the time you get to level 7, I plan to make you be grateful for every last heart you have.

Other than that, just adding more detail, said that before, saying it again lol.

That's fine since most people aren't gonna have all the heart pieces anyway.

Yeah I thought as much. That and I forgot two of them require the Flippers anyway. So you wouldn't be in level 6 with more than 13 hearts. From the stream, the player ended the expo with 10 heart containers when 13 was the maximum. I did plan to go back to rebalance things such that I look at the minimum number of hearts you could have (dungeon HC's only) versus the absolute max at that point and balance it around the average. I should probably attempt a "Dungeon HC Only" run and see how badly I get owned. I'm pretty sure level 5 will be a significantly new experience with only 7 hearts versus the 11 I'm used to having for it.

Tested the heck out of the first two floors (catching a few errors in enemy/secret setup and undercombos) and finished the third of floor of my quest's Level 9 (just need to test it out now.)  Also, got started on the first few rooms of the 4th floor.  After the 4th, the floors get pretty small, so they shouldn't take too long... though I will be needing to make some more new graphics pretty soon.

Sounds like a quest submission is just around the corner for you.

^Looks pretty damn nice I have to say. I especially like the two-eyed Vire and the two different Stalfos skins.

Anyway, as for me, I decided to enter Enemy of the Month #3. I came up with a humble creation based around a type of enemy that I have in Adam's Quest II. I don't care how it turns out to be honest. Win, lose or draw, it was pretty relaxing spending a good hour making an entry for it, adding a couple MIDIs and of course, the big one, testing the file. Overall, I'm pretty pleased.

Been doing a little bit of work lately. Getting a new shop implemented so everything can be in one place. There's also going to be a village to the west of the overworld because I felt like it. (Seriously though, it's got some side-quests for extra hearts and items, as well as where the new shop will be)

Once that's done I've got plans to revisit the dungeons I've already made and begin revamping/polishing where it needs to be. It'll probably mean the Dragon's Den and The Pit (the two in the expo demo from a long while back) will be extended a decent bit and the later dungeons retooled a little.

Finally figured out how to get those youtube tags to work in posts to display my video in the post itself.

Other than that, been going through the updated Zelda Deluxe quests, testing them out.

Not gonna make this long at all though.

Hey, I did one of these, too- specifically for Wizzrobes.

zelda005-1.png

On bottom we have Initiates, Red Robes, Blue Robes, and Mirror Robes.

Bat Robes, Wind Robes, Fire Robes, and Garo Robes on top.  I know, the room itself looks a little sparse.  I might put in a rug and some pictures on the wall.

Starting working on the Random Quest Name contest as well. This is fun already. In total it will have 5 short dungeons and a small overworld, so I think I can make it in 2 weeks.

Yesterday I started my Random Quest Name contest quest and scripted some stuff. Today I started on the first dungeon and scripted some more stuff. There's a lot of stuff I gotta script. That's what worries me more than anything.

Meanwhile, while Moosh poured tons of effort into scripting, I've been doing overworld stuff. I've got almost 1/3 of it done so far. I feel like I have the less stressful job.
