My sisters finally got to read this. You completely made their day, after I translated the honorifics for them. By the way, I think you used the wrong one, is there a Japanese honorific for "Evil Hellspawn of Satan himself"? These guys drive me INSANE!!
That's because they love you.

You're really lucky you have people like that in your life. You don't even know, Kurt. I say give them both an extra squishy hug and tell them you love them and Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday all at once just to make sure you have them all covered.

And now I can see him as a bearded, robed old man, clutching a twisted old walking stick and a laptop, atop the snowy barren peaks of a tall mountain...
And then the Demon of Zero Motivation rises up in a pillar of firey laziness, a gnarled claw of designer's block crushing down against me, but I slam my staff into the ground and shout, "YOUUUUU, SHALLLL NOOOTTTTT,
PAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSS!!", and it is repelled back to whence it came by a glorious barrier of creativity, catchy music, and coffee.

I read about them in the Daily Accomplishment thread. I'm amazed, and praying you don't nerf them too badly. I would love to play against intelligent enemies. Maybe you could use them for a boss fight. Be a nice change of pace having a boss be difficult due to AI rather than 1-hit kills.
Oh absolutely! The Boss AI is on a completely different level than normal enemy AI. I don't use the same scripting tactics and approaches and whatnot.
Anyway I scrapped the Octorok AI last night and am probably redoing it, to be different, easier, and
simpler. Key word there. I can still make a kickass AI that is simpler and yet more effective to give the game quality and make it both challenging yet FUN! I fell into the trap of trying to be all flashy and wowzers. But, I kept the old script in a seperate .Z file. Maybe I can clean it up and release it on the forums for everyone, so they can be salvaged if people need to snip parts out of it for their own scripts.

Don't expect this to be timely, though, I'll get to it when I get to it.

I was tempted, when I first read that you were scripting the Octoroks, to post that I saw a concept video of them and give a link to a Flandre Scarlet video, just to be a smart-arse. It really says something that the reality is even more awesome than the practical joke.
I should really post a video, just as proof of concept. And because I haven't put anything up on my YouToob in almost a year. I'll look into it, thank you.
. . .
Hey, quick question, do your sisters play Zelda Classic too? (If this gets too off-topic then we can just switch to PMs...)
QUOTE(kurt91 @ Nov 24 2011, 06:10 PM)

By the way, could somebody explain to me how to quote screenshots in my post? It would be a lot easier than having to try to give a description for each one when I'm trying to point out which one I'm commenting on.
See those little buttons on the lower right of each post, that has a green + icon? Click on one and it will turn into a red -. Now click on all the green +ses that have posts you want to quote (even on different pages of the thread, it keeps track of the ones you clicked on the last pages), and finally, click New Reply (not Quick Reply). It should add every post you selected in a Quote tag. Merry Christmas.
Edit: QUOTE(Jared)
Page 100! I'm the first! Woohoo!
Page 75 for me. I think I have my settings to display 20 posts per page.
