I really kinda liked the overworld shifting idea but it may not be suitable for this contest. I guess it's down to what Gleeok says.

In mine, I added/removed/changed secret locations on the overworld, but the actual overworld is unchanged. I was wanting to make a whistle->secret that dried up some of the land (outside a fairy pond), but I felt like that would be too much deviation.
I feel like the contest is a balancing act between keeping it the same as the other quests vs. introducing new concepts. The look of it should be very much the same, but it has new enemy requirements as well as the overall idea that you want to extend the previous quests. So, you don't want to break too sharply from 1st-4th (and even give a bit of a nod to them), but you also want to put a new spin on things. It's an incremental change, not a revolutionary one.
For authenticity, I took it to mean the tiles, level color schemes, overworld geography, and rules.
For challenge, I took it to mean that it should be somewhat harder than the 2nd quest. Harder is subject to a lot of interpretation, though.
For fun, I took it to mean that it's neither simple, repetitive, or uninspired. All of which are quite subjective too.
The rules themselves, are pretty straightforward. It's the judging that is open to prognostication.

Sorry for all the links. There are 19 contestants after all!
You are not required to play all quests during the judging. The specifics of the judging process will be revealed at a later date, so for now just enjoy the bounty of quests.
