Well, due to me being lazy, the Demo review will have to wait.

Time to review this.

Review !%:

Advenutre of Marina.qst

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXGd9BqUPu4

Pros: no

Cons:

-Terrible Screen Design

-Eye Strain Clause

-Terrible Enemies design

-Ugly Tiles

-Terribly placed tiles

-Why are people house walls?

-Too many typos

-NPCs say useless things

-Immediate Fire Gleeok after level 1

-"This review is now illegal in Canada." -Russ

-It's just zelda 1.

-It's just an edited newfirst.qst.

-Constantly changing fonts.

-I am tired of these motherfucking snakes on this motherfucking plane.

-It's somehow worse than Shammanock DX.

-It's somehow worse than Yeto's Quest.

Overall: Unless this quest is a satire of something, there's zero reason to play it.

0/5

This review was so good, I applaud you.

But seriously, this quest is just horrifying. If you think Mario Quest was bad... think again.

I dunno, given that you can't even start Mario Quest without editing it in ZQuest, I'd say Marina has a leg up on it there. Then again, Marina has the dubious distinction of being the first quest to be removed from the database for NSFW content, so there's that.

I do have to disagree with one of your points though Nexas.

I disagree with this point. There's a very good reason to play it. It's so... it's one of the most interesting things to happen to the database recently. Maybe not for the right reasons, granted, but it truly has to be experienced to be believed. Ya know, just so long as you aren't in Canada because then the Mounties might wanna have a word with you.

Imo, that's the problem here. As bad as Mario quest is, it ends just as fast as it starts, so it's truly not a "*throws up*" kind of quest, just a "lolwut" kind of quest. It's sort of similar to the reason that Jurassic Park 3 is better than the Lost World, to me.

Yeah, after a while, I started to realize this wasn't a good point, since it is indeed a quest you have to see to believe, just like Mario Quest and Shammanock DX.

Marina Quest is already deleted because it was rated so low. This quest was made by Dark Ice Dragon.

It was NSFW. We're not talking about one or two screens here. The whole overworld was littered with it and was used without any context other than just being a pathetic joke.

That, and we've determined this quest is mocking several quest makers. Or at least, is using several resources from several quests, mainly Eddy's Piko Piko Hammer, which the creator stated he made himself, but looks like mere edits of the one Eddy and Lightwulf made...

Beyond the NSFW and troll material, this quest was poorly designed, it's just an edit of someone's Z1 remake (again, proving furthermore this is just mocking other people's resources), complete with horrible new mini dungeons, horrible graphics, unbalanced difficulty, useless items, unhelpful NPCs, a horrible story, and much more.

As a person who beat this quest, I wouldn't say it's worth experiencing this at all. There's nothing to learn other than not to add NSFW material to your quest and not to steal and poorly edit other people's work, but that's common sense (or at least I hope it is at this point). This quest is self aware and tells you most of the content is a waste of time anyway. Mario Quest looked like an honest, harmless quest gone wrong, this... uh yeah, it was doomed to begin with.

Not Safe For Work (NSFW) is stuff you wouldn't want your family, friends or workers to see. SFW is Safe For Work, by the way.

I just want to step in to clarify some things. It was not removed from the database for being trolly or for being bad. The staff doesn't hold quests up to a rubric and kick them out if they're not good enough. We're not content police who deem quests worthy or unworthy of the privilege of being hosted in our database. It was removed because it violated two rules. To quote the database rules:

Any quests that attempt to remake 1st.qst, 2nd.qst, etc. must revolutionize the player's experience in a meaningful way. Quests with only trivial graphical or gameplay updates will not be admitted.

And to quote the general site and forum rules:

Please keep content safe for viewing in a work environment. If you wouldn't want your parents, boss, or teachers to see it on your screen, then it doesn't belong on PureZC. This includes M rated material, excessive profanity, excessive blood and gore, and overly sexual content. This applies for all areas of the site and forum

Also do not post pornography.

You forgot this database submission rule:

If your submission has obscene or especially violent content, note it prominently in the description. Do not include such content in any screenshots.

This one just keeps getting overlooked for some reason.

yeah, having some mature content shouldn't be enough to get a quest removed from the database.  if it is... I, uh, I, well, I, uh, um.... yeah.

Yeah, I had noticed this too, when I was playing the quest. I was going to point it out sooner, but I figured it would be redundant to do so, since the NSFW rules are ridiculously obvious.
