How do you get to the magic container on the island? (The magic container surrounded by blocks on all four sides.) When I push all the pushable blocks, there is no path I can see to get the container. Am I missing something obvious?

If you're referring to the jar on the island where you use the raft to get to, you can push one of the blocks more than once.

Lol. I guess making an excel file mapping out stuff did help a bit. Not that I'm always going to be on to answer everything, especially if I'm busy with work and stuff =P.
Great quest here. And a long one at that. Even knowing what to do, still takes around 10 hours.

I'm stuck in the mountain fortress (level 9?), in the NE part of the level I need 3 keys, and have only found 2 (very close to each other). Also found what I think is a boss key lockblock. Does anywhere know where the other key is?

Around the place where you found the two other keys, look for walkthrough passages to find the third one.

Finished this, missed 3 heart pieces and one magic container. Didn't get to the NE-most screen in the overworld and also found a screen near level 8 where the lens reveals stairs under a tree, but neither candle/magic book/whistle makes it appear. Think I might have tried the fire boomer too.
Pretty solid though a bit cryptic at times. I felt some levels were hoping I whistled in the right room or walking through the right walls to find my way. I like exploration but as I said, felt a bit obscure at times to find keys etc.

in Lvl 2 Maze Fortress.. has anybody some hints for me, how I could get the directions of all maze paths?
There are many of them.. for some paths there are some clues, but for the rest? I don't know

Maximus Fred: There are no mazes you have to figure out by yourself. You can find the solution somewhere for all of them. Which one(s) are giving you trouble?
Gekos: If you can't get more than 255 rupees then you don't have the wallet. Perhaps you picked up the wealth medal instead? (it decreases the prices of all shops)
