Alright, ton of new information incoming. First, the 3DS version. Look at the video and pictures on this site: http://www.nintendo....ions/index.html We have full 3D behind the back sections of gameplay, and special stage footage. And then we have Metal Sonic confirmed for Casino Night Zone. That may or not be a 2 player race though, which means Metal Sonic might be a playable character.

Next, we have this: http://www.sonicstad...enerations-3ds/ Yup, online multiplayer. Fun stuff there. And then more new info here: http://www.sonicstad...ts-and-details/ This confirms being able to replay levels as different character, as well as street pass missions.

And then for the console version, we have this: http://www.sonicstad...tages-revealed/

I don't know about you, but I am freaking out about that last bit. Especially the Sonic vs Shadow screenshot. I want the game so badly now. And to top that off, we have a possible screenshot of the game's villain, the Time Eater: http://img.photobuck...ao/slide_04.png

And lastly, we have official art of Shadow: http://i.imgur.com/A45bL.jpg Nothing too special compared to the rest of the article, but dang he looks cool.

Those 5 new screenshots look awesome. The Sonic vs. Shadow bugs me, though, because (this is assuming it's the SA2 boss) it looks nothing like the Sonic vs. Shadow "race" from SA2. SA2 had it in the middle of space, but this seems to be on the moon/ARK. Iunno, I just get bugged by inconsistencies like that. Also, when I first clicked on that Shadow art, I didn't see the size, so I had a minor heart attack when I zoomed in on his face. icon_deformed.gif Also, dear god, the amount of detail on the gloves. icon_augh.gif

No, it was on the ARK in SA2. Just on a passageway on the bottom of it. Or according to the cutscene, "outside" it: http://www.youtube.c...h?v=MTdrLC3nqhw Furthermore, you explore that whole area in a mission in Shadow the Hedgehog, and it's clearly on the ARK, just not in the center of it: http://www.youtube.c...h?v=o0I5SghzJMs So technically, all this did was update the graphics on the ARK A LOT. Oh right. I forgot about that cutscene, and my memory of that boss was kinda foggy, so I didn't remember the random structures pointing downwards that you can see. All I could really remember about it other than the actuall fight itself is that eventually it does actually end. No seriously, keep running for long enough and you reach the end of it. But you need to run for like, 28 minutes or something.

There was an end? O_o

I saw all this in chat. The 3DS stuff didn't really impress me. It was the console stuff that I homed in on. Sonic vs. Shadow confirmed, though I still wonder how it'll be utilized with the new style. And then, the Giant Mech fight looks extremely different than it did originally. I wonder how that'll play out. And the beginning, with the Sonics looking through what appear to be mirrors. The beginning? Or the ending? Hmm...

Can I see video proof of this? I mean not that I don't believe you, but I'd kinda like to see it for myself...without doing that battle for 28 minutes I mean.

I'd imagine the mirror would be the beginning. But considering what I've read from being an idiot and going onto pages that will clearly have spoilers, (ie Sonic Generations page on the Sonic Wiki) it could be the ending. But I doubt they'd release a screenshot from the ending, and it would make more sense as a beginning.

EDIT: I'll try to find a video, I don't really remember where I seen it the first time.

EDIT2: Here's a video of it, it seems it's only ten minutes. I coulda sworn the original video I saw of it had the timer at nearly 30 minutes.

That's interesting, but seems intentional seeing how the platforms fall away like that. Also, am I the only one who feels that Sega seems to complicate a lot of stuff that should be simple? For example, every new game seems to have some new type of boosting move (like how sonic rush had the rush meter and sonic colors had something else that I don't know the name of because I didn't care enough to buy it or even have enough interest to watch a playthrough on youtube) when Sonic has enough moves already...icon_shrug.gif What ever happened to the good old spin dash?

I miss this as well. I kinda wish they'd go back to the Adventure method of playthrough, as fun as the Unleashed/Generations scheme is (I didn't say Colors cuz they butchered it). But, at least we get Classic Sonic, and it'll still be fun in both ways, so yeah.

Also, after watching some gameplay videos, my faith in Sonic is slowly returning. I hope the inevitable voice acting/story (pretty much the existence of a story in a Sonic game is bad IMO) flaws don't overpower the gameplay. Also, inb4 Eggman doesn't shut up, as usual.

Don't get your hopes up, you know they spent there entire budget on the Shadow artwork instead of the game. http://i.imgur.com/A45bL.jpg

Well I just found a new trailer that shows a little more of Chemical Plant, and a small amount of Sky Sanctuary:

Not a whole lot is shown though. But it looks pretty neat so far, I'd say.

Sort of. They're taking one level from every main series Sonic game (except Shadow the Hedgehog, for some reason) and making two versions of it: A classic Sonic version (which plays like the old Genesis Sonics) and a modern Sonic version (which plays like Unleashed HD). So it's sort of a remake, but not exactly. It IS a new game, with a new story and new villain and whatnot, but it has remakes of old levels.

Cool So its a whole new game with remakes of levels from Old sonic games Eh?
That makes me want to get this game when it comes out.

I say if i get this when it comes out. This will be the first sonic game i've played since the Old sonic games on sega icon_lol.gif
All the other ones I couldn't get into some reason. I guess you can call me a old school Sonic Lover icon_wink.gif
