How do you always find such awesome music, Alison? I'd totally rob your MP3 player.
Edit: Listented to "Lorelei" another two times, "properly" this time around. It's so full of emotion, actually. At one point it made me kinda nostalgic, but I wasn't even watching the video that time, so it must've been the music itself. It's like woah. I will listen to this in the future more oftenly. Thanks for sharing!

I've been meaning to get onto Stereolab for a while now actually, I have one of their songs floating around on my laptop somewhere~

Chris Bell (and Big Star, AND Alex Chilton, whose songwriting I also adore) was a genius. Critically acclaimed, largely ignored. Cult following. I could listen to #1 Record for days on end if it was the only record I had in my hands.

I raise your "Spring Hall Convert" with "Cryptograms," which may not work because "Spring Hall Convert" may be the best song on the album.

Also have you listened to Microcastle, and what are your opinions on it vs. Cryptograms?
