Ok, I am in Level 7 now, but, if I'm not mistaken, I see that a couple of people found the Master Sword in Level D prior to Level 7...where exactly is Level D?

Also, the only screen that I'm missing is one in Sandstone Desert. If I enter the desert from the lowermost east area (near a fairy pond), it's two screens up (on top of a mountain)...am I supposed to have been there already?

Finally, I wonder what that mining cave in the Underworld is for...(if I'm not supposed to be there yet don't spoil it please!)

Level D is in the swamp. There's a certain place in the northern part that you have to bomb.

Look carefully at the screen one south of that screen you haven't been to yet.

That cave is unimportant until after you beat Level 8.

It's in a cave in the Underworld that you can reach after you beat Level 5, I believe (it's a tough cave to beat though, I suggest you buy a red potion if you want to beat it)

Hi Pineconn! I am playing this quest and enjoying it greatly. So far I've found all my answers to questions on this thread, but I'm having trouble with this room. I cannot light that lamp. I see the block and the hookshot anchor with the lens, but I cannot trigger them unless I light the lamp (I think). I've tried various lighting methods, all to no avail. Is the book in this level? Please tell me what to do! Thanks!

Yes, the book is in the level, and you use it to light the lantern. If memory serves me, in the room with the fairy and the water, head north,

I just started getting back to playing Zelda Classic again and I'm surprisingly stuck on level 2. I used two keys so far, but don't know how to get the third key in the treadmill room because there is a block in the way. Great quest so far though

Kill all the enemies, and the block will disappear. Took me forever to figure that out in the original version.

I tried killing all the enemies in that room and the block wouldn't disappear on the right side door where you enter it. Are my supposed to find my way to the left side door instead?

Oh right. Sorry, I was relying on my memory of the original version, which only had one door into that room. Go up to rooms from there, and there will be a room with a bunch of blocks. One of them (near the upper right corner, I think) can be pushed to reveal a staircase. That will take you to the other door into the room, allowing you to get the key.

K I finally got it thanks Russ. The problem was is my computer screen doesn't actually show the map even when I collected it so I didn't know there was a hidden room that is to north of the one screen.

K now I'm stuck in level 3. I got the Hookshot, map, and compass. I need one more key to get to the boss key for the level and I can't seem to find it. It seems like I can't get to the room in the far north of the level and I think that's where the final key is. Any suggestions anyone?
