I downloaded the second part and am doing the games. I am doing the easy one and it's HARD getting all those keys. I'd hate to try the hard one. One problem so far, if you quit and continue you end up in the upper left screen with the stairs at the beginning

Crackers - I'm not sure if I fully understand the problem in your first post, but I guess you resolved it afterwards. But anyway, the only difference between normal and easy mode is the sword you have, so the mini-games and most of the other challenges wouldn't be any different. And I do know about the continue bug, I'm going to attempt to fix that when I make an update.

CastChaos - There's a hint cave between sections 1 and 2 of level 3. If you don't feel like paying the 100 rupees or messing around in BA1, I think I said the answer in an earlier post (in white, highlight-to-read text)

Moo2wo - I'd rather not give out the code, but I will tell you where you can find some more money if you didn't already find these:
- backtrack to Level 3, part 5, and use the ladder
- Level 3, part 7, in a hidden room to the right of the entrance
- the overworld screen that has the "shoot the off-color thing in this room" cave (cut a bush)
- the overworld screen south of the fairy pond (cut a bush)
- west of the fairy pond in a hidden screen

sctmorgan - you have to wait for a fish to get in the right position so you can hit it with the wand and then the magic book fire stops in the middle of the bubble and lights the fuse.

Thanks for the secret money. But it seems someone on Youtube just posted part of their BA2 LP with Level 6. icon_redface.gif

Where's lens and medallion of truth? I beat L5, got bigger rupee bag and explored much, but I run into pounding stakes everywhere, except in a forest where I'm told not to come back without lens and medal.

You get them in Level 6. Use a Super Bomb on the big boulders blocking it (it's the screen near the ? made of rocks and the row of pounding stakes).

In the level itself, you have to trek through a bunch of weirdness to reach the Lens, then find a hidden path to the binary screens, and that's where you can find the medallion. If you're still having trouble, look at some older posts where I describe it better.

seems like half the time I post lately it doubles it up for no reason. many sites I use don't allow two posts in ten seconds, can we set that here?

creatorofchaos: not yet, but I plan on updating regularly on weekdays until the tutorial is done.

Moo2wo: That's kinda vague, but basically your goal is to reach the water medallion on the second floor. To do that, you have to press four buttons to get rid of all the barriers. Each button is at the end of a quarter of the second floor, so that means you have to find all four ladders leading up to it. I have maps that I posted earlier if you want to see those.

Trudatman: Agreed. I saw your review, and it was pretty good. The game isn't perfect but you enjoyed it, and your score reflects that. The one from FerentzRocks actually makes me want to cry, because if it's an honest review, then that's extremely flattering. Comments like that make all the hard work worth it.

It's an extremely honest review. This quest was really something. Very unique, very funny, and such a departure from many of the standard ZC conventions and gameplay. Even something like Level 5, if somewhat frustrating, was something I hadn't seen before. Level 6 was pure awesomeness. Level 7 was quite impressive as well. And the plot twist between 6 and 7? Creative stuff.

One question -- In Level 9, there was a locked door following a room with mirrorobes. I never opened it because I made it to the final boss without going that way, and I think I missed one key in the 2-level maze, and maybe one in the events with the countdown timers (I know I got 2 each from the the other options). Did I miss anything interesting?

That's the area that leads to the biggest secret of the game. You need the keys from all four of the challenge areas (so that's 2 extra after you go through the 8 rooms themed after the 8 levels), and you also need the golden spoon and the easter egg (which is bait). If you're not playing the enhanced version of the part 2 file, then you don't have those. And the easter egg is hidden anyway. (The poem in the first part of the "8 levels revisited" section hints towards that)
