i am stuck in level 8 i have the map, but can't seem to progress past that. seems like i need the hookshot already.

NVM i knew i had to get in that room, but the path eluded me til now

Whistle warps are your friend, zrookie.

CC, follow what jambo suggests, however, check the chest first.

This is a pretty well designed game in all, but most of the obstacles in it are just annoying and tedious anymore. I made to level 5 and now I'm just getting sick of it. I mean I understand that its good for the challenge of the game, but its not even fun anymore. Why keep making obstacles that don't require any thought and you just have to get lucky to found out how to do it. In my eyes the gameboy design is very well laid out, but when it comes to doing another level, its all the same. 10/10 for overworld layout icon_thumbsup.gif and 6/10 for dungeon design. icon_thumbsdown.gif Sorry for being so harsh, but its the truth!!! icon_sorry.gif

I really did put a lot of thought into those levels. I was goiong for something less difficult wise since LR3 was so hard with swordplay. So, I went with puzzles this time. I may have gone a little overboard. icon_shrug.gif
However, I admit using the Game Boy tileset really limited me on things I could do. But, I wanted to do a quest in that tile set for quite some time.

This quest may also be my last. As I am finding it hard to get into ZC anymore.
Sorry to any of you looking forward to another Link's Retirement sequel.
However, you may find me helping design quests with other people.

At the risk of sounding like a complete idiot, I have to ask, where is level 2? I have been everywhere I can go, tried to burn or bomb or slash bushes and anything else that stands out...with no luck.......thanks.

Southeast from start, in the leever area. There's a big entrance and there's a burnable mushroom blocking it.

It's on the west side at the very top. You must have the Frosterang (M. Boomerang) to get it. Follow the path that requires this item.
Every item is at the top of every path.

Well I guess you're right because with the gameboy tileset would could you do. The overworld was well designed, but I don't maybe its just me thats all. icon_shrug.gif It seems like there are to many secret walls and bomb walls with no cracks and so on, thats all. Altough, thought it was still a pretty good challenge so enjoyed for the time being. Thanks for understanding! icon_smile.gif

In the room before the blocks, bomb the left wall. Another wall I missed the cracks on. Ooops.
