I've chosen another awesome desktop from devart to use. What's even better is that I've updated my dock-thing. It's not a real dock, just a collection of nameless icons that are lined up perfectly with exact X and Y values. Perfect to the pixel (I'm a bit strange like that). Items that relate to each other are two pixels apart (side by side, basically), while I put 14 pixels between items in different categories. items that half-relate to each other (n64 emulator -> snes emulator for example) are seven pixels apart.

(1152 x 864) The dock-like-thing took 3 and a half hours to modify... making new icons, using math to perfectly reoder and center them... etc. I'm a freak. o_o

I do... I also used IconPackager for the icons (both are part of Object Desktop). Unfortunately, they're only trials, so they'll expire eventually.

You can always try open source alternatives to the windows shell such as... well, Blackbox and others. Use Google, I guess.
