While it hasn't "officially" begun yet, the Nintendo World Championships have come and gone and, as I type this, Bethesda is having their conference. Hopefully it'll be another good year for gaming, and Nintendo's already given us a huge taste of Mario Maker's capabilities, albeit unveiling a very bland-looking game called Blast Ball, which is basically soccer with laser guns and mechs.

I'm not gonna make any predictions, I'm just gonna see what happens and react on the fly. Like now: New DOOM looks terrible and nothing like older DOOM games, and the rest so far I have no reaction to, not that much has been shown yet.

I have to say, the new doom, warcry, and dishonored look pretty cool.

DOOM 4 MAN.

I think I just found an excuse to get a PS4. Well, that and the fact that Shadow of Mordor plays like shit on PS3.

New DOOM looks terrible and nothing like older DOOM games,

I wouldn't necessarily agree. It has the DOOM aesthetic with Rage's smoothness and speed. I'm all for that.

It basically looks more like a carbon copy of Doom 3 with enhancements and fast gameplay added. It even looks like they kept the Hell Knight from D3, much to my disappointment.

I can't stay up for the Fallout portion, so I guess I'll have to catch up tomorrow. Doom looks ok, albeit a lot like Unreal Tournament in a lot of ways but with Duke's foot added. Dishonored 2 and ESO and the card game (how do those appeal to anyone? I don't get the video game versions of card games like that at all) I couldn't care about even if I tried.

Bah.

I missed this topic altogether. I've been sharing my thoughts over in the Fallout 4 topic. lol

Either way, I'm going to bed, so I'll have to discuss my thoughts tomorrow.

Oh boy, I'm really looking forward to Nintendo's E3 tomorrow. That's probably the only section I ever watch when it comes to E3 :P

I haven't got any E3 predictions this year, so I'll just go in with no clue as to what could possibly show up and let the fun happen and then give my thoughts after it's over. I'm really looking forward to it and I hope to see some cool stuff this year. I also find it funny how E3 is happening right after I finish school, it's like a reward for enduring a whole school year of exam hell lmao.

Oh holy fuck!

There are so many games out now and are coming to the PS4, I want it badly now ;-)

Some time ago I wanted to buy a Xbox One, I think I'll move to PS4 this gen.

PS4 will be the new star (at least for me).

Look at that  games:   incredible!

  • Assassins Creed
  • Bloodborne
  • Call Of Duty
  • Dark Souls 2 - Scholar Of Sins
  • Dark Souls 3 ?
  • DiRT 4 Rallye
  • Doom 4!
  • Fallout 4!
  • Final Fantasy 0 ?
  • Gran Turismo 7
  • Last of Us - Remastered
  • Metal Gear Solid V
  • No Man's Sky
  • Project Cars ?
  • The Witcher 3
  • Tomb Raider - Remastered ?
  • Uncharted 4 ?
  • Wolfenstein - Old Blood
  • ...and many more

unfortunately there will never be a Zelda on a Playstation. Who knows?

At least I will play Zelda Classic in the future - beside all that PS4 games you know!  :slycool:

The PS4 could very much be the platform to get this generation.

I think it's no contest that EA's conference was the worst this year. They had one interesting-looking game, and I don't mean Battlefront, I mean Unraveled. I might say two.. if the stream hadn't crashed during Battlefront's presentation.

There was too much sports and general boringness throughout. There was a story expansion for The Old Republic that might be kinda neat, but I'm not into MMOs. Unraveled, a platformer starring a protagonist made of yarn, looked fun, but then we got a very dumb-looking Plants vs. Zombies game (WITH INNOVATIVE FEATURES LIKE BOTMATCHES HOLY SHIT) and... sports. They took such a long time to talk about the new FIFA, including interviewing a soccer player named Pele (not the beloved dog unfortunately), which was boring. Then they showed a Mirror's Edge teaser. Then they went back to sports with football. Then they finally got back to Battlefront and the stream crashed. Also I hear the game won't even have a single-player campaign but I'd have to research that. Sounds like shit.

So yeah, EA bungled it up this year. And so did Twitch.

Have fun with your new sports games that'll be worth $2 at most by next year.

Step 4: More profiit

Anyways, Ninty has already announced at least 2 new games, and showed off gameplay of about 5. Super Mario Maker looks amazing.

Ubisoft was almost as bad as EA. They actually showed more actual games, but their hosts were insufferable like last year, they were trying too hard to be edgy, and a lot of the games looked kind of generic. I missed The Division, which I'm interested in, and the new Rainbow Six looked cool, but otherwise, it was painful in a different sort of way than EA's was.

Sony... I can't believe I'm saying this... but save E3 Monday...
