The first shot is okay. There's nothing wrong with it at all, really. It's just that it doesn't really capture me. It's "just another DoR shot." It's a good one, sure, but it doesn't really stand out. It kind of looks like some of the shots included with the questfile itself, which again, isn't bad, but it lacks that spirit that a great looking quest has, if you know what I mean. But it is by all means more than good enough usage of DoR.
Twilight_Knight, I know it has been done before, but I've never really voiced my opinion on it... titlescreens in SotW. A titlescreen IS supposed to make the players want to hit start and keep playing the game... and while it's still not the best titlescreen, it's still... "just" a titlescreen. It's really hard to comment on the screendesigning aspect of this. If this where Titlescreen of the Month, it would have been entierly different, but it's not. I just don't know what else to say on this... my opinions are pretty similar to Dawnlights, over the screen itself.
Nuvo did a fantastic job with these tiles. I've been voting for each of his SotW's shots of this kind, as what he is doing is "kind of" unique. Yes, we've had something similar before, but Nuvo pulls it off with an entirely new style which really makes me want to play with it, when ever he decides to release it... IF he does, of course.
Dawnlight managed to pull my vote today. I can actually imagine the great river flowing from that point, and down into the awesome-looking place that is Dawnlights Hyrule. The palette is stunning, and the transparent skies works perfectly. Everything fits, and that's why I love it.
