Erm, yeah. I finished "Prepare Yourself" today. It's a quest that revolves around you deciding what you need to bring into Ganon's dungeon, rather than being told you need Triforce pieces.

You could fight through Level 9 and go try to kill Ganon with just a wooden sword, bow, and silver arrows if you want. Or you could do the smart thing and explore the eight hidden item dungeons.

The dungeons, in order of difficulty, are (and have as a goal):

1:Whistle
2:Bow
3:Blue Ring
4:Red Candle
5:Magical Sword
6:Magic Rod
7:Hammer
8:Red Ring.


In addition to these items, several are scattered across the overworld. What will you need to stop Ganon?

I imagine the heart container upgrades being either all in item-accessed overworld screens or as being all similar dungeon rooms. anyway, reads as cool. smart concept. word.

I admit, I thought the same as T Platinum. I read "Prepare Yourself" and instantly thought of Ike's cheesy voice coming out of the Wii remote during Brawl.

Anyways, this sounds like a neat quest. Screenshots?

ABSOFRIGGINLUTELY. Running straight to a dungeon you want is what this quest is built on. If you wanna make a mad dash for the wand, YOU DO IT, DUDE! Hammer? Go for it!!

However, you'll need to find a raft to reach level 8. This isn't too big of a deal though.

Oh, and since this is a concept piece, it's done in LoZ tileset, slightly modified. If you like the concept, you're more than welcome to make your own quests on a similar concept! I'm hoping this pioneers a new way to play quests.

Ya gotta have guts to try and get Ganon after only doing a few dungeons. It's not something I think I could do though.

Me either, honestly. Quest time is displayed, so you'll have something to take records by. Handy isn't it?

This has great potential for replayability and specific runs, like a reverse dungeon-order run (8 first, 1 last), etc. Definitely looking forward to this.

Thanks Old-skool I have already played a little bit of it but I still can't find the sword. I wish we could have started with the red candle because I've already died using the blue one. And if you end up making an update, could you please turn on the overworld map. It makes things so much easier.
So how long before I come across that sword. After hearing that clue about the sword,I was looking in level 9 but with a blue candle I'm not really able to kill some of those enemies.
