Good news everyone! I started work on a new quest that for now will be known as "Quest for the Elders". I am using the Pure Ultimate Tileset, and here is the basic story line:

Long ago in a land called Hyrule there was a farmer's son named Link. Everybody in his town, Kakariko, knew that he would be a very important person someday. One day he was called to the Town Center, where the King of Hyrule discussed Link's sword skills with him. the King decides that Link would be able to help the town, and informs Link that an evil wizard named Ganon had kidnapped all of the Hylian Elders, and his daughter Zelda. Link sets out on his adventure to save the Elders, and the Princess.

If you have any questions, I will tell you if I am far enough in development to tell you the answers.

Thanks for reading, and I will try to make it ready for Christmas if I can. icon_cool.gif

Please, please, use DoR, or at least not pure.

Anyways, sounds good.

Two questions:

1. What version is the quest for?

2. Screenshots please.

Mistake. I am using Pure Tileset Upgrade. Sorry oldies, but it will be 2.10 (Not an uber-new beta though)
Screenies? I should have some within the hour.

That's an opinion. While I prefer DoR, you can use whichever tileset you prefer... although, I implore you to at least check out Dance of Remembrance before you get too deep into this quest.

EDIT: And 2.10 is very old. Nevertheless, it is the most recent "stable" release.

I say stick with pure. I don't really like DOR. Good luck with your quest though icon_wink.gif. I hope to see some screenies soon!

I checked out DoR and it does look pretty cool. I just think Pure gives me a little more comfort when I'm designing stuff. My favorite Zelda game is ALttP you know.

Does anybody here know how to post screenshots? I can't figure it out.

IPB Image This should be a little more viewable icon_biggrin.gif

It's a fuzzy in the corner because it was the start of a sub-overworld as I call them.

It's the entrance to Level One, the Knight's Test.

The Castle will be much vaster, it will warrant it's own d-map.

It's good... but I see no layering. USE LAYERING. It is the number one most used feature in the whole program. Also, it's not a good idea to mix gameboy and ALttP graphics, like you have done there.

Don't rush your quest just because people are pressuring you. Just relax and take your time and it'll hopefully be a really good quest.

Yeah, take it easy. People will be just as happy about a good quest later than they will be about a good quest now.
