I'm not sure why, but I've always liked seeing caverns in classic. Good work, I especially like the torch lighting; it definitely gives it an eerie dark cave atmosphere.

Dayum David, those are amazing! I love the whole cave-like atmosphere you got going there and it works really well. Great job.

This is the first screen of my secret project, i put this here to tease you lot! What do you think of it?
Also i created the layered trees, for some reason it wasn't in the tileset

I like it a lot! It seems like you're really getting the hang of that tileset. Hoping to see more of this!

Dayum! I'm really loving those screens, they give off a really nice Pokemon vibe. Makes me want to play Gold/Silver/Crystal again.
However, I spotted one small thing in the first shot:

The ground somehow overlaps the water rocks.

very nice. the different colors and orientations of the bricks that make up the levels of the pillars are throwing me off, but you've done well, generally.

Unless you frequent chat you probably haven't heard much about The Hylian Phoenix lately, but it's still a thing. I just finished Kakariko Graveyard and thought I'd post it here.

It's not a huge map exactly, but the area is obviously tied to Kakariko Village which is six screens in and of itself. I'd show you Kakariko as well, as it is more or less finished, but there are a couple of landmarks that I need new graphics for, and I've been too lazy to try and make any today. I'll post it in the near future though hopefully. The graveyard itself is done, though the little platform at the bottom is a placeholder for a larger, royal tomb graphic that once again has been delayed into existence by my laziness. Well, at least in return I've been able to get a lot of mapwork done. I don't want to get anyone's hopes up about seeing this game finished anytime soon, it's going to take a while, but I will say that there have been more progress in the last few weeks than there have ever been. Which is good I guess!

cool. looks pretty good. I've never understood what those cliff ridges are supposed to be in the gameboy tilesets. they aren't broken up into boards or bricks... they just run along all edges. so, aside from that, I dig it.

So, I made up some windmill and well tiles quick. The windmill tiles are based off of Prince's old stuff, along with a tower already present in the Firebird tileset. I do plan on creating a more refined version of what I've got now, and also have it connect to the house a little better, but I figured I'd place these 'landmarks' down real quick so I could show you guys the full village.
Now, a lot of what you see here might change before you actually get to play this game. We're not talking drastic changes, but I'm not too happy with the bottom screens of the village, and I feel like the whole thing is a little too white/yellow. Like, it's just a little bright. I tried to cover up more ground with grass, but that ended up looking worse. I'm also planning on changing the statue of the phoenix to a weathervane, just to have that as a little bonus.

I have always wondered what they're supposed to be as well. Heh.
