Oh, and feel free to use any tiles in my looses for people's cameos or NPCs. They're all custom tiles which fit very nicely into a tileset created by a particularly talented canine of the community. :3 They could also be recolored easily as well.

Anyway, here's the recolored tiles I made for Join:


I figured blue would look great for his hair, especially since it's one of the few colors that I have 3 tones for. For some reason, I also thought it would look good for his cloak, too.
I wasn't sure what color to make his upper torso, so I thought red would be fine. The pants, ... I didn't want them to be the same as the hair, so I made them a little lighter.

... I dunno, what do you think of the colors for his clothes? Since he's your character (and since I can only see him in GB-style color) I thought you could give me better advice on a color scheme for his clothes.

Request: Can you name me Kinek, actually? You could make him accidentally call himself HA9, but then correct himself later. Then he'd say something about Gorons.

Well, I just made his lines fit... but I'm sure 2 more letters shouldn't be a problem! (i.e. HA9 = 3 'letters', Kinek = 5)

BTW, Link finds Kinek in a classroom at the library and he says he misses living with the Gorons. Everyone in the underground can't find a way to return to the surface, let alone find a way back to Hyrule. Plus, there are no Gorons in this underworld (under the Far Eastern Islands, that is; not of Hyrule), so Kinek doesn't get to hang out with any of them anymore.

That's just a suggestion.

@klop422: No, it actually worked out better just replacing it. Adding that extra text that you're suggesting wouldn't fit in the current strings.

@everyone:
Well, I've finished the library and still have to do the house where TK lives. (I saved it for last since it's part of a sequence involving more than just the town.) After that, I'll be doing the Monster Village where Moedorm, Glitch and Giggidy will appear.

I still haven't heard anything from ABH15 or DragonDePlatino yet.

For everyone other than DDP (Join), your appearances are either planned out or already completed. You might've noticed in the spoiler in my signature, but I'll state it here just in case: I've completed 22 cameo character appearances so far. Currently there are a total of 29, but I'm not cutting it off for new requests until I'm done (or close to it) with the entire quest. (I've been leaving some room, just in case.)

Lightwulf- I have two things to say:


1) I've been watching your quest for a long time, and all I can say is it looks amazing!

I personally use the classic tileset so I can appreciate the effort neccesary to revamp the set while still holding on to the style and feel of it. You have accomplished much my friend!

Also, I actually have the tileset and having gone threw it once or twice I can appreciate how much work you put into it.

2) Could I be a cameo? It would cap to an even thirty. It would be very simple. If you bombed a very nondescript wall in the over world I would be in a cave. I would just look like the normal Old Man. I'd say, " I'm old man Daniel! This is my field and your trespassing!" I'd then steal about twenty of your rupees! This is mostly an inside joke as Old Man Daniel is hidden somewhere in all of my projects.

I don't have to be though. It's fine if I'm not.

Anyways, I look forward to this quest being released, and say good luck!

You know what? I think I have just the spot for you! I actually hid a small number of "Door Repair" rooms on the overworld, in an attempt to make this quest similar to Zelda 1 and to try and use all room types, and there is one in particular where right now all I have is and old man giving Link the "pile of ashes" item instead of charging him rupees. It was mainly put there to test what happens when you get that item, so I figure I can scrap it and put "old man Daniel" there instead. Sound good?

... But, what if it's not a "field"? Is that just a quote from one of your quests?

Edit: It was so easy to implement that it's done now! Of course, it's not in any demo, just in the final quest. It's an area with mountains to the north and some brown bushes in the center of the screen.

Hello, everyone!

 

Since I've finished level 9 (but still have a few areas left to complete), today I decided to go back to the Lost Traveler Town and make a place for DDP's "Join" character. I went ahead and opened it up from 3x5 to 3x6 screens, adding a column of screens to the west side of town.

 

Consequently, it's kind of empty right now, so I thought I'd bring this up to everyone: Is there anybody (other than those I've already included) who would like to appear in the Lost Traveler Town of my quest? I don't have much room elsewhere, but if anyone would like to appear as a character in the town itself, let me know; just read the first post of this thread about what I'm looking for and post here.

Somehow I forgot to thank you for including me! Thank you so much!

If no one else offers to be in the quest, you could always hide yourself in there for a solid thirty cameos! Personaly I think that would be perfect! Make yourself be really hard to find.

 Silly me! I had thirty cameos; I just forgot to list the one that I'd requested in a PM. Oh well!   I went ahead and updated the list above.

 

I guess it isn't obvious (because I didn't post it here), but I actually am including myself. I'm located in a house that you can't reach until the very end of the game and (using the "Info Shop" room type) reveal to the player some of the most important secrets in the game, such as how to find the Master Sword. So, I'm not too hard to find, but you can't find me before you're close to beating the game.

So, I guess I'm at 31 right now. It's all cool, though. ... I actually have another in mind, so we'll see how that works out.

 

If I don't get any more volunteers, that's fine. However, I'm still leaving this open up until the quest is finished, just in case anyone shows interest later.
