I remember touching this quest ages ago in an old expo but never got around to finishing it until now, and gonna be honest I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this quest, this was really awesome. The metroidvania aspect was done extremely well with areas linking with each other nicely and many many paths to traverse through. Each area was unique and had very cool concepts with increasing difficulty as you go along. The bosses were all cool and fun to fight (with the exception of the final boss, but I'll get onto that later), and the soundtrack and story were phenomenal.
I thought I was going to really despise the saving system, but honestly you managed to deal with this fairly well, although I do have one suggestion. I would STRONGLY recommend to turn off the "Enemies Always Return" rule since while it wasn't too bad early on, it got kinda hell and a bit unfair later. Trying to backtrack to save points at low health realising enemies always come back was not pleasant at all. It also got annoying in some areas where I accidentally took a wrong door, go back in and then I see I have to fight everything again to progress in the right direction. Simply turning off that quest rule would've made the later segments far more manageable and enjoyable, but it certainly could've been far worse. Another issue I have is that the final boss felt a bit too cheap for me, more specifically the first phase. Everything is fine but that one dashing attack was extremely frustrating to dodge sometimes (even with jumping) so I feel that could be nerfed a little and that would make a massive (and imo better) difference.
One last thing is that I absolutely loved the story of the quest, it certainly took interesting turns that I was not expecting and I really liked the variety of different endings. However I feel like the ending segments may have dragged on a bit too much. After fighting Theo and then Medley's father again, I was expecting an actual final boss right after, but then it turns out there was another whole segment of re-fighting all the assassins again. At that point I kinda was hoping to end things and went "Damn, there's still more?", so yeah I kinda felt like things padded out a little too much. I certainly do enjoy the change of heart with all the assassins though, but other than that idk I could've really done without it personally. Also there is still the bug of walking on top of the palace entrance by swimming on the side in the outside area, but I imagine that will be a very quick fix.
Overall though this was really excellent with a few frustrating issues here and there, but the quest is still very polished and awesome. With that said I'm gonna give this one a 4.5/5, which rounds up to a 5. Nice work with this, I generally had a lot of fun.

Tips & Cheats
This quest has no continues, and is very open ended. It's also quite difficult, there are no heart drops, your only means of recovery are potions and healing spots. I tried my best to not make losing progress too tedious. But remember, death has consequences.
